There are just so many Skyrim threads, I couldn't find the big questions-megathread one, so I'm just gonna have to ask here.

I went to my wife in Breezehome, Whiterun, and as I sat next to her in front of the fire in the front room, I saw a brown-cloaked figure with a steel mace at his hip just going out the front door. Assuming it was a thief, I pulled my sword and dashed outside to give him a good what-for, but when I went out...Nobody. I even reloaded the autosave, and surveilled the door, hoping to catch him. But..still nothing.

So has anybody else had this problem, or any other mysterious occurrences? And can somebody tell me what happened?
from my experience its whenever someone is talking to me right as i open the door that they appear in my house with me.
it's just a minor bug. nothing to be paranoid about, unless you want to think you're wife is cheating on you....maybe you should stop adventuring so much.

My house Breezehome I think might be haunted...Items I place around the house have gone missing, are thrown around like a toddler's toys, or sometimes I hear voices that tell me to kill my wife. Now that I think about it she probly took all my stuff and sold it, I'll be right back I've got to take out the trash

My wife is permanently hostile after several in-game years of violent, drunken abuse. I swear she was stealing my power tools. On a related note, two things have really been raising my eyebrows lately about this game. Firstly, bears that can kill dragons. Wtf Bethesda, guess we all know what your favourite animal is. Secondly, the deaf woman living in the ratway. That's all I'm going to say.

this is not my game but my friends. apparently he cannot sleep in his rifton home because there are "enemies" nearby, yet no one else is in the house. in addition the mannequins in his house that he places his spare armor on have mysteriously moved off their stands, but only a couple of inches away from them.

in my game the only weird thing i have run into was on my way through dragons bridge i came across the headless horseman. its likely not a glitch and i tried to follow him but a dragon attacked me. :(

I think your friend's character might be a paranoid schizophrenic

There is a cave with an infinite number of bears that spawn inside it.

Seriously, the second I enter the cave, there is a MOUNTAIN of lag, and then I see a dead straight conga line of angry cave bears, endlessly running toward me.

Trust me, they never end. I turned on god mode and fought them for hours. They didn't stop coming.

First time I enter Breezehome, I see a Whiterun guard, I just go past him and he leaves, later the guy who helps Belethor at his shop, the one who chops wood, is in my house, I am, at this point, thinking wtf, later an old woman (forgot her name since I've been doing Thieves Guild quests) is in my house, at this point I'm thinking, how do they get in my house, don't you need a key for that, I mean I had to get one for it and put it in my invisible leather tardis.. I mean backpack, I'm sure that Lydia also has one, so what the heck.

Sanguine, you get drunk, sort of follow the basic plot of The Hangover, or you can pay Ysolda 2,000 septims which I did, and get the Sanguine Rose to summon a Dremora who, unlike in Oblivion, won't later attempt to kill you.

Edit: this was suppose to be reply about the Sam Guivenne guy

Seriously, no, I've never seen anyone in my house except for Lydia.
Lydia is dead. Her steel sword has been enchanted, named 'Lydia' and mounted on the plaque at the top of the stairs.

What if...nah. There's no such thing as ghosts.
What would make that story better, is if you used a black soul gem to capture a soul trapped Lydia, and enchanted her sword with that.

Seriously now, I have no idea who that one guy is.

I have to go with that other guy and agree that your wife is being unfaithful.
you're a damn genius

Easy. It was probably an NPC who had been talking to you outside the house, hadn't finished his sentence, and went inside to do so. Happens all the time. It's a bug, but eh. No biggie.

I found a crazy old lady, if I remember correctly she had no clothes on, south of Winterhold. She kept rambling on about the Wabbajack, and asked me to hit her with it. But when I went to get the staff from my house, she was gone. Anyone's got a story about her?
I met that same woman (though she had clothes on, thank the Nine) near Whiterun, literally begging to be Wabbajacked. I actually had the staff with me at the time, as I hadn't had time to dump it at my house yet.

I launched the Wabbajack spell on her - the first time I did that to anyone - and she went POOF and turned into a rabbit. Said rabbit ran away and disappeared into the grass. A few seconds later, I saw a great puff of red smoke emerge from a spot in the middle of the field, and the woman was standing there. I approached her, and she still wanted to be Wabbajacked.

So I did it to her again. Same result.

Later, as I approached Whiterun, the whole town wanted my head on a platter for some reason. Guards and civilians alike came rushing out of the woodwork to carve me into ribbons, for reasons they were far too angry to adequately explain. I decided to talk to the Jarl about this, as he had previously done nothing but shower me with praise, naming me Thane and everything.

I ran in a blind panic through the churning mass of sharpened steel and burning anger that filled every street and plaza until I got to the Jarl's throne room. The Jarl spotted me immediately - and pulled his sword and ran screaming towards me. Fortunately, one of his personal bodyguards had calmed down JUST enough to suggest that I surrender at once. I obliged him, and got thrown in the dungeon.

I am absolutely confident that it all happened because of my Wabbajacking. It was the only untoward activity I had perpetrated in the region at the time - besides, like, four counts of petty larceny which I'm pretty sure nobody ever even found out about.

I met the woman again, way out in the wilderness, still asking to be Wabbajacked. Having left the staff at home by this time, I ignored her and pressed on.

She followed me quite far.

i had just gotten to winterhold for the first time and i went into the house to the right of the general store (the one where you can get the coral claw). anyways, as soon as i enter this tiny house, in the dead center is a gigantic (gigantic as in abnormally sized) cave bear battling a stormcloak. they fight for a few seconds until they both just dissapear. frickin' weird.

One MYSTERY to me was the fact that a patch came out today. That was meant to make long term play less laggy. And im unable to tell whether its worked or not because suddenly every time I die or load a save just as I died the fucking loading screen freezes.
Its happened 4 times in a row.
For fucks sake Bethesda. I love your games but FUCK.
keep at it! this happened only twice to me and all i need to do was save when i got in that fixed it:)(oh and load an auto save not an actual save)

I'm not surprised you couldn't... He's headless! He has no face...!?

There are horrors in this universe that men are just not capable of comprehending. That is one of them.
