Hey, it's another Skyrim thread!

Just a quick question: has anyone played Skyrim with the minimum recommended hardware? I'm upgrading my PC in about a month and I'm debating between getting PS3 version or taking a risk now on the PC version. I just want to know if it will run at an okay frame rate on the lowest settings with a 9800GT graphics card and 2 GB of RAM (my processor is over the recommended one so no worries there).

I'm pretty curios about this too, as my computer isn't that much up to date.
How does it look?

EDIT: Nevermind, found a youtube vid. Sorry for this meaningless post!

A 9800GT while old isn't a bad card, it is still more powerful than the PS3's GPU. Skyrim benchmarks have just been released, and it is playable at medium settings up to 1080p, with no AA while using cards weaker than your 9800GT like the Radeon HD 5570. Only 2GB of RAM may cause performance issues though, be sure to disable most of your background processes for optimal performance, RAM may bottleneck performance badly. At the very least you should be able to pull off medium settings. If you are playing at a really low resolution like 1280x1024 you may even be able to pull off high settings.

You won't be able to do ultra though, your GPU isn't strong enough, and the CPU requirements are quite high, Skyrim is a CPU hungry game when on ultra, but it only uses 2 threads, so it really likes fast dual cores.

I'm playing with everything but a crap graphics card Radeon 4550. And it runs very well on medium. I think you'll be fine.
