Skyrim PS3 - Corrupted Save?

SO, yeah, lost about 8 hours of game play because Skyrim (during the Diplomatic Immunity mission) decided to CRASH my PS3 and I had to force a restart.

It's piss poor programing like this that made me buy their other games used.
Next time, I'm sticking with my gut.

NEVER buy a Bethesda new, never.

AND it turns out the copy to my thumbdrive was magically corrupted as well.

100+hours lost.
