Skyrim: PS3 users, anyone having FPS issues?

I read on another forum that the PS3 version of Skyrim has some serious FPS issues once the save file size exceeds around 5-6mb. Looking at the Bethesda forums there are a lot of PS3 users having kittens about this.

Are any fellow escapists having problems with the game once you are many hours in? Or is this only affecting some players? If you are, what version of the console are you using, and have you installed the first patch?

I'm curious and somewhat concerned. I haven't noticed anything untoward as yet but wondered if anyone else out there has had issues.

Haven't noticed any frame rate issues. I do get the occasional freeze-up when hoping around the menu. So far only one crash of the game. So actual seems stable so far. I'm at around twenty hour on my first playthrough so it could get worse. Hopefully not.
