Skyrim posts are probably getting annoying by now but i wanted to get people's opinions and see if they've noticed what i have, because there are a lot of little problems with Skyrim. The big change that i notice to Skyrim that is a major improvement over Oblivion is how you sort of run into quests instead of going around town collecting them (if you know what i mean). It's the only reason i haven't dropped the game yet. But there are still heaps of issues. Three things in particular are bugging me. How you interacted with NPCs, how the dragons flew and the physics were all meant to be improved after the pre-release video showing in-game footage. Now the dragons flights are still robotic and awkward, the physics are still pretty rigid (as far as i can see from jumping of a cliff to check them) and the main problem i had with NPC interaction still isn't fixed. My main issue wasn't the face locking, it was the pokerfaces on every NPC, and now that the voice acting isn't quite as totally shit the pokerfaced bastards stand out a whole lot more.
More stuff that's bugging me is...
- Riding up vertical mountains with my mount only to dismount and fall through the entire thing and die when i hit the ground.
- Sneak being overpowered but inconsistent (one minute im invisible as long as i'm stealthed, the next the NPCs can spot me a mile away no matter how i stand)
- Dragons going straight for my horse instead of me (which would be fine except Shadowmere > any dragon)
- Other monsters being stronger than dragons.
- The messed up difficulty curve of The Dark Brotherhood quest chain (The final assassination being easier than all the preparation made to make it possible to do that, as well as being easier than some trash quests from random town NPCs and from other Dark Brotherhood members)
- The mechanics of duel wielding (unless im going for a stealth kill its more efficient to just use one knife because its so much faster than the duel wield attack that it out damages it.)
So yeah i don't wanna ramble on too much more. I just want to know if anyone else has noticed anything else that bugs them. Don't get me wrong, i love this game and i plan to have a lot of fun with it (at least until i set my Darkfall subscription up). I just don't know if i'm actually finding justified flaws in the game or if im just nit-picking because my laptop keeps overheating while i play. You tell me.
