I'm looking forward to Von Sydow and Plumber being gruff and growly badasses.

Also, most of the cast I haven't heard of but they seem experienced, and that's a good thing. I just hope those more used to live action acting can step up to the challenge of voice acting.

Much more difficult, just ask Tara Strong or Kevin Conroy on twitter.

Still, hopefully I'll basically get to build my character up like Beowulf as he was meant to be, not like in that awful Zemeckis movie...

Well, Oblivion had an impressive line-up and had some of the worst voice acting ever. So call me cautious.
What did Oblivion have apart from five minutes of Patrick Stewart?

edit: Also, this list from Skyrim underwhelms me.
Wasnt Sean Bean in it as well?

Impressive but they'll either be crap voice acting or the biggest star will dissapear or died off before the end of the prologue.

I am always happy to see Col. Tigh from Battlestar Galactica in ANYTHING. :) Plus, add Wonder Woman, and things are getting interesting!

I don't care who they are, but there's over 70 VAs! As opposed to Oblivion 16 (or 18, can't remember).
16 I belive, there was 2 for male and 2 for female of each race plus a few unique ones.

Shakespeare would be proud...

OT: I'm a little iffy about the cast. I mean it's a good line up, but like someone already said, they're probably going to get killed off or we're only going to see them once or twice in the main quest. I just want to see the cast for generic NPCs. I really hope the guy who played the male elf characters in Oblivion isn't going to be there. I just wanted to punch that smug little bastard in the goddam face!

I offically love you.

On topic. I played Oblivion for Sir Patrick and Mr still sharpe and was so diappointed when they killed off the emporer within 5 mins and shoved martin up in cloudtop for most of the game then.....

killed him at the end in the most fail game end ever...

Thank god for the black hand and the theives guid quests.

Quality voice acting for sure. But Elder Scrolls always had strong (or at least recognizable)voice actors.

Michael Hogan too? He's been a good many video games lately (Mass Effect 2: Captain Bailey, New Vegas: Doc Mitchell).

Good stuff. Hopefully, the people of Skyrim won't feel as copy/pasted as people of Cyrodil did.

Woah, lots of bile on the lack of voice actors in Oblivion. Deserved though it may be.

The weird, stiff, inhuman quality to the character models in conversation was WAY worse than the actually pretty good voice acting. If most of the 70 actors in Skyrim are as good as Oblivion's 14, and the visual element is brought up-to-date, it shouldn't be so bad.

Who am I kidding? I'll throw fistfuls of money at the first person who'll let me play Skyrim no matter how many voice actors it has.

I'm 100% certain that the voice acting in Skyrim will be laughably bad just like in Oblivion.
There's over 70 voice actors, compared to the paltry 20 in Oblivion. The variation alone kicks it up way more than Oblivion standard. Let's just hope that the 60,000 lines are well voiced.

Still will be disappointed unless Sean Bean returns, descending from the heavens shouting "I'M AKATOSH, BITCHES." (Or something like that)

I am glad to hear there are 70 voice actors. That alone solves my biggest complaint with Oblivion.
