immersion is the how well you can get into believing the medias universe, so making the media realistic should provide for better immersion.

If anything being able to talk to everyone should be less immersive because most people wouldn't talk to you, having them talk to you would make the world feel fake and crafted, instead of realistic, or at least, believable.

A game doesn't have to be realistic to be immersive. I just meant that I didn't like how sometimes I'd want to talk to an NPC, but I couldn't, whereas I could talk to most other NPCs, and it really kind of stood out. They felt like they were just crammed in to make the place a bit more crowded.

Those things would be fun but I don't consider the game lesser for not having them. Fable is the game for that kind of stuff, isn't it? Like a fantasy themed Second Life.
