Repetitiveness in games is a bad thing.
This made me laugh. All games have repetition.
But on what extent?

OT: Ubisoft for their amazing climbwork in AC and AC2 which was not carried through to the Saboteur (ming you, I enjoyed that game thoroughly).

Story was bad
Well yeah, it's what happens when God makes a race of megalomaniacal retards, gives them free will and invention capacity, and lets them loose upon the world. All I can say is he fucked up big time and laugh in his face.

As an aside note, I do share my feelings with you about Treyarch, they're hilariously bad and I will sooner be finished freezing hell over than they will make a good game. I just wanted to take the piss of the "Story is bad" comment. I hope you'll forgive me :p
I laughed internally, it was amusing.

You are forgiven...over whatever you were apologising for.

The fact that only one mainstream FPS (Halo 3, but that still came out almost 2 and a half years ago) has online split screen support. Take MW2 (Only example I can think of) and it's Spec Ops feature, now think how many people actually play that for fun not for Achievements. Instead they could have made split screen.

That and Natal. Nothing else needs to be said

No... No... BAD Bioware! Do not put scanning in the game. You do that outside!

OT: Final Fantasy 13 creators for the MASSIVE jumps in difficulty (as soon as I was easily eliminating wolves on a certain section while avoid behemoths that I would only be ready to fight much later on, I walked into the mine, killed several waves of enemies somewhat easily only to be decimated by a giant robot blocking the way. After finally killing him, grinding a bit for good measure, killing him again since he respawned, I walked onwards only to be killed by bombs. Then there is the boss of the level. You have to fight him with only two party memembers on a time limit, while playing as the weaker one, while he does massive amounts of damage, and he's got infinite health and you have to build up a combo, weaken him, and heal all when he's not killing you. After figuring out how to beat him. I walked onwards only to see another one of those giant robots that summon up more minions and buffed them to actual threat level. When I finally got out, I was fighting against easy to beat enemies for the entire next chapter. And the next one after that? Return of the insane difficulty!)
Seriously, it's a difficulty curve, not a f*cking zig-zag.

And whoever is trying to make the Shadow of the Colossus movie, you get worse than a slap. You get a full out punch. IT WON'T TRANSFER OVER WELL TO FILM!

SEGA in general deserves several slaps upside the head by this point. I always thought the whole 'cinematic' (read poor piece of an excuse) cameras were exclusive to Sonic Team, but after playing Bayonetta and House of the Dead: Overkill, I realize the brain damage is company-wide for allowing this to happen. They also get another few more more slaps for their poor IT security (including, but not limited to, leaving Flash sites insecure and prone to decompiling attacks)

George Brousard also gets a couple slaps upside the head for the now indefinite delay (if not cancellation) of Duke Nukem Forever and sending 3D Realms into a death dive.

Gabe Newell and the whole Valve team deserve one huge collective head-slap on two counts: 1.) Portal 2 tease marketing (including the fake GlaDOS BSOD), and 2.) The delays behind Half-Life 2 Episode 3

And YOU, for makeing fun of Treyarch! Have at you good sir!
hey treyarch ruined call of duty for me, the campaign was a grenade palooza and multiplayer was the most unbalanced ugly thing ever. Treyarch is to the call of duty franchise as the bastard child that no one wants to admit exists but is glaringly obvious and awkward is to a functional family. treyarch is a JOKE

This. Forever.

Off topic but: Staring at your avatar while listening to the song Trapped in My Flat is one of the most hilarious things i have ever seen. But thing again I am easily amused.

Now in hi-def.
You know I've tested it and it's actually hilarious with any song.
I can second this. On topic, ragdoll physics when hit by stuff, so you can't control your character for a couple of seconds. This pissed me off so much in Crackdown. Actually, I'd slap the guy who ran me over while being attacked by a Shai-Gen hit squad.

So many times I felt like slapping the writer of Metal Gear Solid 4. I mean, when it comes to cheap plot twists and "let's features all the old cast", Metal Gear Solid 4 takes the prize and all the medals.

There's grinding spot right outside that mine that's a 100% pre-emptive strike and gets you 6600 CP in 40 seconds at most.

Just in case you're interested.

I ended up grinding the first three mechs actually. It worked out pretty well.
