Slaughtering Grounds Devs: the worst Devs ever or the worstest?

Knowing how much people love to see horrible Devs doing their best to be scummy, and considering how one of Jim Sterlings last gifts here was a video on them, I'm curious if people have been following things with them afterwards? If so, do you think they've gotten worse?

They had deleted the topic where (I believe at least) Jim had taken snippets of comments from to show, and now they are white-washing the Slaughtering Grounds discussion every couple of hours or so. I think the last (and only) topic in there was just someone asking what happened, and that got swept under the rug. They've also 'released' another one of their games which have had the topic of "where's our keys for voting" pop up in unsurprisingly, and have even started a Greenlight for a third game. Unsurprisingly, they are censoring all discussion for that as well and have even insulted an individual or two on there as well. Jim said he wasn't going to cover that game from them, but I am curious to see if they strike him with another false DMCA against his video for their newly released game just as they did for Slaughtering Grounds.

Their new game also looks like it's following in Slaughtering Grounds legacy, as the assets seem like they've all been taken from some cheap asset store, and considering how they've been proclaiming that Mr Sterling killed their games with his YouTube videos, it's funny how they seem to be able to afford making as third game when the other two are still... Unfinished in the most politely put way. I'm also surprised Valve is fine with this dev poisoning the already sickened well of Greenlight games by letting people flagrantly buy votes by tossing up "Free gamz fer Votz!". It's not policed already, but that should be something they should at least look out for and punish Devs for doing.

Yes, they have. Jim did release a second half of the Slaughtering Grounds video. It's actually bundled with the first part, so here it is starting exactly where the first ends:

It's...amusing. They seem to have no actual sense of how things work. For example, as Jim mentions, they seem to think that his video wasn't protected under Fair Use, because he wasn't...fair. Yes, that apparently happened. As well as other stuff. Just listen to what Jim says in that video for other examples.

i would agree they are the worst devs I have seen but...

then the only other bad dev I can recall was the dev of a browser based pokemon MMO who was pretty much a stereotype of the "bro/frat boy" who mostly ignored complainants of bugs did whatever he felt like and let his girlfriend be a moderator and let her get away with terrorizing and harass players that were better at the game then her not joking she suspended my account for 3 days because I beat her in a battle followed by many hurtful PM's.... though some claimed she harassed any other girls on the site not superior players but I can't comferm this

I haven't seen such literal-mindedness since...Well, yesterday, but still.

I kind of wonder if they did pursue legal action, only to get laughed out of offices.

No, EA and activision were much worse in their primes. This doesn't even come close to the worst company.

An yes, they aren't just publishers

That's why I made the distinction of saying "Devs" rather than saying company. Two people in a basement a company does not make, especially when they go as far as making sure neither their developer tag or publisher tag actually match. They intentionally made them in a way that the tags for Slaughtering Grounds wouldn't lead people to Forsaken Kingdoms and vice versa. Besides, EA and Activision might be terrible, but at the very least any of their lowest code monkeys could do a better job than them, and their games are at least functional.

Apparently, and this is coming from their since-deleted posts, they were in talks with a "lawwyerr" who assured them that Sterlings review was mean and all around not nice and that yes they'd be sueing him. They then backpedaled and said Sterling wasn't worth their time to sue. Exact quotes I'm sure are out on the digital sea, and I think his YouTube video even has a snippet of it somewhere. I find it hilarious though that they are bandying about laws and such, when they broke Steam code of conduct by impersonating Jim Sterling on their to try and defame and hurt him.

As a fun aside, if you even make a mention of "Slaughtering Grounds" on the Forsaken Kingdom board or their Greenlight game, it's instant delete. There was a comment actually offering praise towards the game and hoping it doesn't get hit like Slaughtering Grounds did, which got removed rather promptly by the developers.

Apparently she was batshit insane to other people too. Sending nudes, being a shitty mod, crying for attention, etc. I wouldn't even think twice bout anything she said for such madness (Apparently she was on anti-psychotic meds too, but, we can't always prove these things)

OT: Yeah, the fact they're still going is nothing short of amazing. I'd call them shitty devs for going so far, but I'd but people like EA, Ubisoft and Activision higher for repeated crap time and time again

I highly doubt that sucking at developing games is enough of a crime to make them the worst developers ever. Companies these days are firing thousands of employees for mistakes that would've been easy to avoid. Devs have thrown away years of work on inane drama. People have invested millions of dollars and sold under 1 thousand copies.

Again, a few no names making a bad game is not even close to touching some of the heretical crimes or horrifying mistakes that have happened.

Nah.
So a bunch of indie devs take their anger out on one critic?
I don't think that makes them the worst devs ever. Still pretty shitty, but all pretty isolated all things considered.

I actually thought the devs behind Earth 2066 were worse.
