Also they have strength +12, so it is best to avoid melee if you have less than two attacks per round and more than ~60 HP.

Hehe, effective and ironic considering I just posted how i'd like to see biological weapons removed (how come you rarely see these in games - offtopic I know). Besides trolls are mythical creatures, more than likely you'd need fire or enchanted weapons to take one down. >

Fortunately, there aren't any persistent trolls around here. If there are, they disguise themselves well, and what's wrong with that?

Basically, if you think someone is misinformed, tell them politely. If they dive on the caps lock key (personally I prefer shift, but each to his own) and deny the evidence, then there is no hope for their understanding, and you might as well leave them to wallow in ignorance.

Yeah, best to just ignore them. Youtube taught me that. Well, ignore them and also show their comment to a real live person who will take your side and go, "WTF? This troll should not be allowed to breed!" Always make me feel better!

According to the original Scandinavian folklore, the ways of slaying a troll are many, depending on the troll.
Chopping the head(s) of the troll is an old and tried approach, however, if it is a regenerating troll, you might have to keep your blade on the stump so that the head cannot grow back on.
Another approach is by tricking them, as trolls are gullible, if cruel, creatures. Examples are:
- Stealing the eye of the troll, rendering it vunerable
- Tricking the troll into commiting harakiri by convincing it that it will lead to the troll being able to eat more
- Intimidate the troll to believe that you can crush rock with your bare hands, by actually smash cheese
