OK, I've just pulled my second all-nighter in two weeks, and I've discovered something surprising. After a certain point in the day, even after I haven't slept in over 24 hours, I seem to lose the fatigue and drowsiness that I had mere hours ago, and actually feel energized. All I can guess is that my internal clock seems to have an override that keep my brain in an active state once I pass a certain chonological threshold.

What about you?

My question of the day (or two days as this case may very well be): what happens to you when you break your sleep cycle? Do you become a zombie? Do you click into sync like me? Do you sprout wings and fly away?

What's your story of sleeplessness?

I don't have a sleep cycle. I gradually wake up later and later each day until I wake up so late I force myself to continue til early in the next evening and then I conk out for 10-12 hours and begin the loop again. Usually I get tired at 12 hours and 18 hours of being awake, but once I pass them staying up for 24 is usually easy, and then at some point after that I get tired again.
