Sleeping Zombies?

I realized something earlier today.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SLEEPING ZOMBIE.

It feels like something that's obvious that I've seen in a movie or something.
But I've never seen one.
I know that zombies don't need to sleep blah blah blah...
But... That doesn't mean that they don't do it anyways.

I mean.... WE don't need to play videogames, we still do.
Dogs don't need to wave their tails when they're happy, they still do.
So don't try to make this a subject about why there aren't any sleeping zombies etc... etc...

I just wonder if any of you have seen a sleeping zombie.
If you have can you please tell me where and if possible post a video or a picture of it.

Zombies don't sleep because they are incapable of sleep. The zombified brain operates on the same level of effenciency at all times, and doesn't "Power down" like the normal brain does when it sleeps.

Well technically Zombies don't have to eat because they can't digest it, so I wouldn't be suprised if they sleep too. Also if you've actually seen a zombie I would tell somone.

Left 4 Dead. They will occasionally lie down and sleep, though you can wake them up the same as startling any of the others. I love that they did little things like that.

I didn't know that.
I've only played it on multiplayer so maybe that's why. O.O

Ah, but they're not technically zombies - they're alive.

OT - I GUESS that zombies don't sleep because, as Buddee1 said, they're constantly hungry. What I don't get is why zombies, if hungry, need to eat flesh/brains (depending on universe), and how they worked out that they needed them. Wouldn't, like, a sandwich be easier?

Actually, due to current anti-smoking laws in most of the world, it's actually more common to see smokers at night, huddling outside pubs and clubs. Quite what cigarettes have to do with vampires though, I just don't know...

yeah I'm in the zombies don't sleep boat. Maybe they can become dizzy (like needing a moment to regain balance), but I doubt sleepy.

This explains my very short temper when tired, and tendency to go for the carotid.....
Also, I didn't think zombies were capable of sleep, so I've never really looked out for a sleeping zombie. I'll be on guard now though >_>

Also, zombies are generally portrayed in action sequences, so they're too busy being bloodhounds for...well, blood.

OT,"necromantic" zombies don't sleep because they are reanimated with magic. Same goes for scientifically reanimated corpses. "Infected" zombies,on the other hand,would be fully expected to take a nap every now and then - and it's kind of strange when they do not.
