When I sleep, or try to; I usually start thinking. I don't know if I'm asleep or not anymore, because I wake up fine. Maybe it's a dream where I'm sleeping and thinking and all I see is black.

Well I normally just close my eyes and wait (Boring). I've found I'm especially good at going to sleep in places that aren't my own nice warm bed. Though I've always loved sleeping in a tent on a camp, hell I remember the best sleep I ever had was in a tent. It was a dopey scout camp and admittedly On this huge scout wide camp they established at this big open ground I didn't have any friends in my troop who were going (There was one guy who was my age and not older, but trust me when I say he was a messed up kid, he'd been expelled from schools, gone through therapy all kinds of stuff) and there were two two man tents (The master brough his own). So the screwed up guy refused to be in the same tent as me so while I slept peacefully in my own, cosy two man tent to make up to the smell of a beautiful camp breakfast, while the other three guys had to be crammed up in a two man tent, wall to frikking wall. Admittedly I once had the worst sleep of my life camping once. It was cold, fr some reason I was sleeping only in my trackpants, there were three of us in a two man tent, one guy had to wake up at like 2am to use eyedrops (He had an alram clock btw) and keeping in mind this was another scout camp from years back the other guy kept going out crying 'cause he couldn't stand it (Frankly I don't blame him) and so I finally got some sleep until I was woken up by the eyedrops guy and the rest of the time I was desperately trying to fight off the cold of the night and the terrible damp water that kept coming into the tent. *Yawn* It's getting kinda late on my end, I think I'll go hit the hay. Peace out Escapists.

I could probably sleep anywhere that has a flat surface, and sometimes very shallow sleep while sitting up (a few times in school). My dad apparently slept through my mom's labor, I might have inherited some of that.

Usually, though, it's in a bed. I'm boring like that.

I usually have to sleep on my front, really hard to sleep on my back except when I was with my ex, but then it's always nice to fall asleep when you're holding someone. Bah, nostalgia...

I'm odd though, I can only really sleep properly in beds - if I 'sleep' while travelling in a car, plane or train, I always feel crap later. The only exception is in boring lectures, my friends laugh because I do that thing where my head droops down and I realise that I'm falling asleep, so I snap my head back up to repeat the process about 10 seconds later.

I fall asleep anywhere, if I want too.
I love to sleep, it's one of my favorite hobbies.

But mostly it's in my bed, holding my girlfriend or a pillow.
I was going to say "This" but then I read the last part.
I need to hold something.
I've been holding a pillow since I was a kid.
Can't sleep without holding something.
Hmm.. You know, I used to always sleep with a Beanie Baby, but it seems like the older I get, the more trouble I have sleeping. Maybe I should try sleeping with a stuffed toy tonight? :p

Anyway, I like either insanely puffy beds that you sink several feet into, or the floor. And it must be very dark.

It has to be pitch black and dead silent for me to fall asleep, unless I'm really, really tired.

Like, skipped two nights of sleep tired.

I always lay in my bed until I get drowsy, but turning on the TV and putting it real real low always helps me sleep. I used to be able to go to sleep with the help of my super clunky air conditioning unit right next to my room, but then we got a cool new space age air conditioner. and I hate it.

I usually sleep with the ac on and a beach-themed white noise machine on. I curl up with three pillows and two blankets with just my boxers on, otherwise I get to hot and can't seem to fall asleep. After a hard workout, you can count me out for one to two hours even if I just woke up two hours before.
God sleepings great.

I like the sound of the air conditioner or a fan to assist me in slumber.

Uh yeah, try falling asleep in a 2 man tent with 2 people and a weeks worth or lugage, now that doesnt sound to bad eh, well how bough this. Somehow my rainfly went missing so we had none, and it rained that night...hard. We got to sleep under the "kitchen", it was a big tarp over us with all the food and suplies under it. Still not sound bad, well the thing is, I had a stump under my neck and me pelvis which wasnt fun.

And someone didn't learn their tying skills correctly because one of the knots holding the tarp up got undone because it was a windy night. So not only did the tarp above us start smashing around, it went CRACK everytime, and it flung water at us, and since it was a windy night the rain was peircingly cold and hard. Me and my friend (who's name slips my mind for somereason (it was a camp and this was our second night knowing eachother, oh and hes a guy, like me)) so we fell asleep cold, annoyed and wet. the counslers found us curled up in a ball inside our sleeping bags, it wasnt a fun night.

With my eyes shut is how I fall asleep. It helps if there is white noise like a fan or something in the background.
