poor dude. don't really care fro slipknot but i never like a death. and the guy had to die so soon after Dio. no doubt that will over shadow him but it shouldn't

God damn...

Guess I wont ever get to see them at a show then :(

RIP.
I'm guessing they'll carry on with a replacement, there is 8 others after all.
Fair point.

I wonder who though, I'm not sure the other band members are too good at bass , seeing as the ones who dont play an actual instrument just run around hitting stuff. Guess they'll have to learn fast :p
Bassists tend to do work for loads of other bands.Like Steve DiGiorio. He played bass for loads of metal bands like,Testament,Death,Autopsy,Sadus,Vintersorg and Iced Earth.

He'll be replaced soon enough.Unless Corey decides to make his stay with Stone Sour permanent.
Yeah, true that. I daresay all will be revealed in the next few days.

However I think it would be a bit selfish of Corey just to disband the band (pun unintended) just so he can go work with Stone Sour permanently. I mean, the other members may want to carry on, the decision shouldn't be down to him alone in my view. But then what do I know.

Oh jesus. Someone contact Rhyno from Mudvayne and get him the hell out of there. Its a trap!

On a serious note: Damn. Slipknot was a good band. I hope they can cope. RIP.

Damn. Next thing you know, Shavo will be biting it too. Not that that will EVER happen, Odadjian is immortal.
Wasn't he the biggest druggie in the band?
Shavo Odadjian? Or Paul Gray? Gray arguably was, but Odadjian wasn't.

I found this out quite a while ago, at first I didn't believe the news because of the website it was on, but it spread. It saddened me, we've lost many great musicians recently. RIP.

Apparently, this could also mean the death of Slipknot in itself. I heard/read somewhere that they said they'd never replace members. Thay may not play again.

R.I.P #2
Despite the fact that they've replaced 4 members in the past?

I mean, Jim Root didn't join till '99.

indeed, when joey broke his foot or something they cancelled their festival performance rather than have another drummer from another band fill in...

RIP Paul \m/

(2010 is a crap year for music)

It would be better than relying on a member who clearly has no interest in staying with the band. If he wants to leave than it is down to him.

Not from what I've read. Odadjian probably did some drugs, but I'm pretty sure Daron Malakian would win the award for most drugs used.

Don't forget The Rev just before last Christmas. It's a sad time for rock.
