Slow forum page updates

I might have missed something quite massive in the explanations, and if so I apologize. But it seems like if the forum lists update very slowly.... Like, once every 15 minutes. I post something, it doesn't show up until 15 minutes later. Nothing else does either, for that matter. It's like they are frozen for a long period of time between updates. Is this just me, is it specifically designed to do this?0 Just curious.

PS: For Example, my browser crashed and froze after I hit "post" and now I have no idea whether this is a double post or not. It can get slightly irritating.

Yeah, double post. But it should be nothing to worry about on your end. I believe it's server-side caching that causes the slow updates. Simply put, the threads/comments/bumps are there but it just takes some time to show the changes. if you view a thread directly you'd still see the comment, just the topic list will remain "frozen" for a while.

I get that occasionally, usually if I post a thread.

It gets really annoying, but I deal with it.
