Slow Internet speed.

I just switch my internet service provider and after two days my internet speed has been very slow. I was told that the speed will improve after about ten days or so. Will my speed improve?

Also would buying a better router improve my speed? I know nothing about effects speed or how to improve it so any advice would be welcomed.

A better router will help some, but it's really up to your provider. http://www.Speedtest.net will show you your current speed and provider. I'd wait off on buying a new router until the change has fully taken place.

Routers can help. Another thing that helped laptop was getting a better processor. I have also heard rumors that the type of ethernet cord you use can seriously effect speed.
