Im just curious, does anyone even remember that series I mean, I just thought about it randomly today and realized that they havent made a new game about it for a while. Anybody know whats up with it, it probably got axed a few years ago

I played the first one when I was 9 or 10. I loved the game, but that was also a time that I would play anything that worked and like it, so my opinion isn't very good.
It was a really good series...until games like Racket & Clank kind of 'killed it'.
I'd love to see an improved version of it on the current gen, but I'm not holding my breath...
Then again, Klonoa got a wiimake...which made me gitty...so you never know.

The trilogy was a lot of fun, and they're re-releasing it on the PS3 soon. Maybe that evidences a return of Sly Cooper at some point? I certainly hope so.

Last bit from Sly 3 shows that they have a time machine and Bentley was thinking about visiting Sly's ancestors.
Maybe the studio will realize that Assassin's Creed kind of swooped in on that idea, before it's too late.

I've been talking about this series for as long as I've been on the forums. The 2nd game stayed in my mind years before I saw it again and continuously rises on my top games of all time list. Sucker Punch became my fav. studio and when asked for under-appreciated games this was on my list.
Infamous was the game that launched Sucker Punch into the lime light, but that's because PS2 had such a strong 3rd party support that gaining ground on the PS2 wasn't as easy as it is nowadays w/ the Wii riding the spotlight and the X360 battling for popularity. So any jewels that the PS3 can hold up and call it's own is nice. The 1st game is the only one I haven't beaten, but the 2nd was so fantastic that I'm not sure when or how long it'll be when I can choke the 1st game down, since the 2nd was so fantastic.
I think that Sly Cooper 4 and the new PS3 S.Cooper Trilo. will grow in popularity as the PS3 and X360 battle hard and have a need to show off everything they can. Sly Cooper is a series (the 2nd especially) where you have fun doing grind quests
