"Smack on the head" Realisations.

I was checking out tvtropes on Mass Effect when I found this interesting link about "smack on the head realisations" for the series.

One thing a commentor pointed out that did indeed make me smack my head in realisation was about Joker.

"I know it's kind of a stretch, but "metaphorically", if you would like, it seems like Joker was, indeed, born to fly. Think about it: hollow bones. Like a bird's... "

Have you ever experienced something similar in a game, a realisation about a small point or something involving the plot that you, at first, completely overlooked?

I just thought it was a silly name. It wasn't until Yahtzee did that The-Count-from-seseame-street line that the penny dropped.

This may rock your world, but I only just this very day realised that Scrolls, the upcoming title from Mojang, is not the same game as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the upcoming title from Bethesda.

Oh! I JUST had one of these three days ago. I was trying to get the last point trophy for F.E.A.R. 3 in the final level. I had been just hip firing into the Creep's mouth and constantly dying. I was at my wits end, because I could not figure out how I was supposed to score enough points. I kept dying, and that kept reducing my points. Finally, I watched a video on youtube.

Turns out, that big glowing light in his throat is his weak spot. All you have to do is shoot it and he backs up, not hurting you. I literally smacked my forehead and said, "How did I miss that?" Three times through that level, and I had to have someone else point out the oldest cliche for a boss fight: Shoot the glowing weak spot.

For the longest while i though tails from aonic and tails was a girl, it wasn't until i was on a video game stream , where someone was streaming sonic 2 , and i said , "tails is cute if i was sonic id totally do her" and then everbody laughed at me , and told me tails real name was miles and the he was a man . I learned my lesson

Yours is a cool one. I didn't think about that.

I can't really think of anything. Maybe everything goes over my head...and stays there.

Quite a few actually.

For starters, Psychonauts: Rasputin and a curse that makes it so that his family will die in water. The actual Rasputin Raz was named after died in water. I have just realized this not too long ago.

Also after I played through MGS3, (the first MGS game I played) for the first time and than saw the trailer for MGS4, I was wondering why Snake's eye patch was on his left eye instead of his right. Later after some research I found it was actually a different Snake. :/

Ocarina of Time: About ten or so years after the game came out, I realized Talon and Ingo looked very similar to Mario and Luigi.
