What is the smallest thing you can think of that annoys you?

For me im at uni right now on a computer and the right mouse button is disabled. you dont realise how useful right click is till its gone.

i cant right click the task bar to close things when things freeze, cant right click to open task manager. i cant right click on icons to open with or copy or cut the icon. i have to use the menu.

Its like they dont trust us with the power of right click.

I work at a retailer, so there's a plethora of these.

Probably the smallest is someone picking something up, looking at it, and putting it back down in the wrong spot. I don't mean they walked halfway across the store, and so it was inconvenient to put away, I mean they are standing right there and the spot they just took it from is within arm's reach.

When people get Animated films wrong I tend to feel angry even though I know its silly

Like called a Dreamworks production "Disney" or calling PIXAR disney, or calling them "cartoons"

or calling cgi effects in films Cartoons (I only ever saw One idiot do this in regards to AVATAR)

Mojang winning March Madness. I think it's completely ridiculous that they knocked out Valve. Fine if you like Minecraft, but there is no way in hell it is better than Valve.

Mostly insignificant things. Like if a strap on someones bag or clothes creaks subtly but continuously it drives me insane or if someone opens the door to my room to talk to me and leaves it ajar/open when they leave.

Groups of people who think the best place to have loud, obnoxious conversations is halfway down a narrow corridor or right outside the doors of a building.

People who just stop.

People get off a bus and stop right there on the pavement, regardless of the thirty people still trying to get off the bus.
People that leave shops and stand right in front of the doors, blocking the way in/out.
People at a checkout who stop for a minute or more to put their purse away.
People who stop in the middle of a pavement/shop aisle/doorway to have a conversation.

DON'T JUST STOP- GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY.

There's a lot to be said about annoyances in a supermarket environment, isn't there?
*Heads up, I used to work on a produce aisle*
People who think you can get them a better deal on a product who think the price is too high.
People who constantly ask if a product is on sale that is completely out of season.
People who can't find something on a shelf that is directly in front of them.
People who hover around reduction aisles (in all fairness, some of them make great conversation)

When things aren't in order. Like when there's a wire poking out from behind my TV, or if something isn't straight when everything else around it is. It just bugs me and I can't concentrate until it has been put back in it's rightful place. Aesthetically pleasing, I suppose.

accidently yanking out my earphones,
no one gets up to answer the phone/door leaving me to run and get it,
cheap deaths,
dipping my fingers/hand/sleeve in paint/glue/anything wet,
when a power socket is switched on but there's nothing plugged into it,
a hair that somehow makes it onto my tounge,
buying something in a shop then seeing it for much cheaper in another shop,
people on the street/in public areas who walk rediculously slow,
when you urgently need to get to a counter, whoever is at the front of the queue takes as long as possible to finish what they're doing,
having to stand next to someone else at a urinal...
christ, I could do this all day...

When the sprites for the games I make are one pixel off from being completely symmetrical. No one else may notice it, but I can't help it.

I can relate to this. I guess creating the biggest explosion and posting it on youtube is better than anything else in the world...

People who leave a signature at the bottom of their forum posts. Not the automated one, either - just a shitty abbreviation of their username or their RL first name. Seriously?

Probably the most annoying small thing I can think of is when a video's audio and visuals are just milliseconds off from one another.

It's so frustrating when it's off ever so slightly. It's so small and yet it COMPLETELY ruins an entire video presentation for me.

When I go to my mothers, she always has caps on. I turn off caps and I leave for 5 min. Go back to the computer and it's back on. Really destroys my psyche sometimes.
