I just bought Resident Evil 5. I played a couple of hours with my older brother, and we had a blast. Except for that one thing. The thing that annoyed us so much that made the game bad despite it's other great qualities. Guesses? I'll say it. The f***ing inventory system! It was so bloody useless and ridiculous. What was wrong with the RE4 system? It was great. Oh sure, maybe it's a bit hard to navigate a portfolio while fighting off peasants in real-time, but I'd rather do that than this shit. I had to throw away most of the ammo I found, and then I found out I can't trade weapons. Why? If I can give ammo and herbs and shit, why can't we exchange weaponry? Oh, and we can't exchange money. Maybe I'm missing something and you actually can, but if it isn't explained, I'll still call it out for being so bloody bad. But I digress.

Anyway, the title says it all as usual.

Turn-base fighting. Other than pokemon, I will not play that stupid fighting mechanic.

Edit: Which is why I have never played, and never will play, Final Fantasy.

The headcrabs in Half life 2. Can't be bothered to go through it again. Also, the fricken 'Death row' mission in GTA VC. (If you've played it, you should know how thick Lance is here)

Speaking of Resident Evil 5, I am sick and tired of the enemies grabbing me 90% of the time. Oh sure they have a weapon in their hand, but they rather grab me and make me shake my controller like a derange idiot.

I'm with you on that one.

The inventory was the only scary part of the game.

The battle-system in FFX-2. I hated it with a vengeance and ended up spamming X to win my battles. Until i stopped playing that is.

Well to add on to the RE5 hatred THEY GAVE THE ZOMBIES GUNS!

That ruined the entire seires for me (as in any new RE games)
Capcom can only redeem itself if they remake 1-3 with the new gameplay.

I'm not really 'tolerant' of RPGs. The second a section starts to drag on, I just stop giving a damn and give up. If it feels like a chore, I don't want to do it.
For that reason, I never finished FFX or FF6 (PS1)

In Fallout 3, that game autosaved my evil file (about 10 hours in) over my good file (about 60 hours in). I just stopped playing at that point.
If that happened, I'd sell the game.

Trying to track down the last Guerrilla Action in RF:G. It keeps radioing in the same missions no matter where I am on the map, so I am stuck with 2 to go, and was for weeks until I simply gave up, deciding not to put myself through such torture.

the art work and world style of the game, which is why i can't enjoy manga themed games.

but the biggest smallest thing that can make me turn off the game and never look back is other gamers, this only happens in online games of cause, for an example when i started playing wow i did it whit 4 friends from college and i had allot of fun whit it for the first 40 levels, but since all my friends played dps i had to start looking for groups in order to proceed and thats when i discovered the retardedness of the world of warcraft, i kept playing for a couple of weeks, but when my prepaid time ran out i stopped playing.
other peoples retardation shouldn't ruin an otherwise fun experience for but it does non the less.

pretty sure you can trade weapons, they just can't be equipped ones... and gold is pooled ^ ^

but for me, it has to be naja salastheem and the immortals of FFXI, they ruined that entire expansion pack for me... ;n;

Time limits. Nothing makes me quit faster than a frugal time limit. Just sucks all the fun away.

Escort quests can occasionally be okay (see Max Payne), but they tend more often than not to be horrible. I think the 2 escort missions in Robotech: Battlecry were some of the hardest escort levels I've played in my life. But I did beat at least one (possibly both) of them.

Why does everyone find the headcrabs in Half Life annoying?

I found them to be easy to kill and they almost never did any damage to me.
