I couldn't tell you exactly how many times I've run into this jerk's 'divining rod' as we used to call it.
James McCormick Guilty of Selling Fake Bomb Detectors.
We knew it didn't work. We just couldn't convince any of the locals they didn't work. Even after showing them the inside. I've personally taken a couple apart and found that all that was inside was a simple blinking LED circuit and a miasma of wires caught up in some hope and dreams. Hopefully this asshole will get all sorts of surprise prison sex. At least one time for everyone who died directly at the hand of his greed. But let's be honest. It'll be white-collar prison for this guy.

What , the , fuck , is a bomb detector? These exist ? A device that can detect bombs? And they are for sale ? And no one thought to test them? Detects bombs , drugs and 100$ banknotes? REALLY? I guess stupidity does kill .

*ahem*
Now that looks like a real *****, and a good looking one at that.

OT:
Screw that guy, he deserves all the prison time they can throw at him and then to get deported to the countries he sold his crap to, so they can sentence him as well.

Agreed. Nothing beats a LIVING detector of things, trained to know scents and sounds that would otherwise be unwanted in a given area. AND they're cute!

Something I can't find on Google: Who bought these and why? Apparently, it was third-world police and governments, but were the people who bought them completely brain dead or were they working with McCormick?

Saw this on the news, the guy is absolute scum for the harm he has helped create with this fraud. But at the same time part of me just wants to laugh, I mean the guy sold a bit of plastic with a car antenna attached, claimed it was a bomb detector that could detect virtually any substance on earth (bar bullshit apparently) and then sold them £27000 each. And then after being convicted of fraud still has the nerve to claim he has faith in his product.

?I don?t care what they say, I know more about bombs than the Americans do. In fact, I know more about bombs than anyone in the world?.
You have to some special kind of ballsy heartless bastard to pull something like this.

I believe there is a corruption investigation in Iraq on going related to this with a couple of arrests being made. So I believe he had accomplishes in Iraq helping him sell these things off as genuine.
