I'm on the market for a new cell phone, considering that mine is a steaming shitpile that does nothing more than make calls. What better to get than one of the many new phones in the steadily increasing smart phone market?

I've been looking at the HTC Touch Pro, anyone have any opinions on it?

I'm also open to any suggestions anyone may have.

Thanks in advance for your help.

What exactly do you need it for? What apps are you interested in? I have an LG VU that i downloaded some mods for, giving it the ipod scroll theme, gps, sync. 3G internet, and anything I need. You can always find cool apps online if you look. The phone is only around $150, and it has been discontinued, so it's sure to be a cult classic. Also, another cool thing about it is its antennae, for watching streaming TV from AT&T. And it is a touch phone.

My wife has the new Blackberry, and she ends up using my phone, because she really loves it.

Hm, I'm not completely sure exactly what i'll be using it for. What can a teenager do with their phone?

I just need a new one, and since i'll have a two year contract, i want it to be something i love.

I'd enjoy a nice web browser, a responsive and non laggy touch screen, decent battery life, and a decent camera. Then again, i might be asking for the phone incarnation of jesus.

The Nokia E71 looks nice (and the commercial on their website is very snazzy) but it's a tad businessy for me, if that makes sense.

Also, sorry i neglected to mention, no Iphones.

The iPhone isn't a smartphone.
So? It's still smarter than most smartphones.

And when you jailbreak it, Installer and Cydia have so many wonderful programs etc.
In terms of software, iPhone beats everything.

I have the HTC Touch diamond and am happy with it. The interface takes a little getting used to but it is very sleek/cool and has good functionality. The only real downside is I'm expected to pay extra for GPS software ><
