Today I purchased Red Dead Redemption and I believe its nothing short of amazing. The whole wonderful map, the animals, the scenery. I especially love the Marshal challenges, the whole thing makes me feel I'm in a western without being cliché. What are your thoughts escapists?

I want to get it, but I heard if you unlock golden guns in multi there's no way to get rid of them, and they look hideous.

Can you confirm that? Or was GameFAQs being stupid again?

I've had to crowbar myself away from it. I've spent a lot of time on it making money and buying new guns etc. I'm really glad I got it because I also pre-ordered Alpha Protocol and I must say...I feel somewhat underwhelmed by that game.

I love the music that pops in now and again. I feel like such a bad ass play RDR :)

you can switch between any of the weapons you've earned in multiplayer, although I think it might default to your best set, but I'm not 100% sure on this.

OT; this game is fun I really like the random encounters that happen whenever your walking around from duel challenges to catching thieves, it makes the world seem very alive.

I'm glad you are enjoying the game. All of the praise it's getting is making me seriously consider getting it soon, before the inevitable price drop.

Its a massive contrast to Gta lV, in which almost every character and event was either annoying, boring or completely uninteresting. As darkstone said the world feels so alive and real and the time setting is really well done as the wild frontier of America starts to become fully civilised.
