I don't wanna sound rude. But is SMT the game that is really grind-tastic? I remember playing a ds game but the grind was killing me on it, even though the story was great. T^T Did I play that game wrong?
Are you implying adults don't play on handhelds?The_Scrivener said:Biggest Atlus fan on the planet here. Will not buy because its on 3DS. You want the game to be for adults? Then release it on a console.
Dude, have you PLAYED some of the earlier Shin Megami Tensei games? Hell YES they like your pain! They use gamer tears of frustration and sorrow as aphrodisiacs!Denamic said:Why 3DS? WHY?! Is it fun switching platforms all the time so long time fans have to buy more shit just to play the games? Do you enjoy it Atlus? Do you like my pain?!

Exactly. Having SNES level graphics and that being considered acceptable is huge when you are a smaller dev.j-e-f-f-e-r-s said:It's a successful platform that allows them to reach a large audience while still keeping development costs under control?Denamic said:Why 3DS? Just throwing that out there...
There is built in software to transfer between systems. I just upgraded to the XL last month. Considering you can sell your original 3DS (assuming it's still in good condition) for 70-80 dollars, you could pay just about $100 for the XL. And trust me, the screen difference is HUGE.Colt47 said:*Buries head into a wall.
Why the 3DS if the target audience is supposed to include adults? I have a 3DS, but the screens are too freaking small and it seems like retailers like to make trading up for the 3DS XL a headache by not providing a way to handle the system transfer. (That and upgrading costs $170 USD with cost of the game included...)
Captcha: Total Shambles.
Yes Captcha, that is the insides of my head at the moment.
Yeah, the trick is finding a GameStop or Best Buy that is willing to let someone do the system transfer in store.Scott Rothman said:There is built in software to transfer between systems. neonsword13-ops said:C'mon dude, that's not the right mindset. Adult games can be released on handhelds. 3DS also has both of Devil Survivor remakes and Soul Hackers. All of those are Atlus games and they are all very adult games in their own rights.The_Scrivener said:Biggest Atlus fan on the planet here. Will not buy because its on 3DS. anyway, that's two games for my 3DS I have planned to acquire now, Nintendo gonna pull their heads out an gimme a Metriod game that I don't have to make excuses for?
Ahh, I see what you're saying. I wouldn;t even sell mine back to either of them. You could get a lot more if you sold it via Craigslist or Ebay or something.Colt47 said:Yeah, the trick is finding a GameStop or Best Buy that is willing to let someone do the system transfer in store.Scott Rothman said:There is built in software to transfer between systems.
