Greetings the attractive fellow below is sneakypenguin longtime(2008) and rarely active resident, and i'd like your help.

I've got a week off work and am currently bored to death, i've played ME3 citadel dlc, ran though saints row, got conquest capped in wow, and am generally sick of sitting in my chair staring at my screen. Heres where you come in fellow escapist. I'd like to take a day or two and travel somewhere... exactly where I'm not sure.

My current location is Knoxville Tennessee and i'd be traveling on wall-e my trusty yellow stallion

A few guidelines (breakable) since I'm gonna be on the bike i'd like to keep it within 8 hours drive or so and about a 500 mile radius from Knoxville for a reference thats as far as destin florida, Charleston SC, or middle of mississippi/ slightly west of memphis.

I'd like ideas for a place to visit, national/state park, monument, beach, museum, battlefield or parkway, can be one destination or multiple just keeping in mind a 1k mile roundtrip limit or so.

Weather permitting if I choose to go on a trip i'll take pictures/tag places and share with you wonderful fellows of my journey.

Any help and ideas are greatly appreciated.

How about George Washington National Forest? It's about 300 miles away from Knoxville. The area is beautiful and the roads up there are a lot of fun to ride on a motorcycle. It would be pretty fun to ride out there, hike a bit, camp for the night, and ride back.

That actually might be a good ride, could do the blue ridge parkway as kind of a roundabout way of getting there.
