Im wanting to play a good, fairly lengthy RPG for either snes or psx but other than games such as final fantasy and chrono trigger (the obvious ones) I'm not sure whats good and whats not.
So if you friendly folk could hit me up with a few titles i'd much appreciate it :D

[EDIT]
Excellent replies, i've downloaded chrono cross and next on my list is star ocean.
If you do leave a reply could you let me know why that game stands out from others?

Parasite Eve.

Don't get the sequel because it went from RPG to whatever you would call Resident Evil.

Secret of Evermore is decent and with a rather original setting. I assume you've considered Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu), but it can be hard to get a hold of. Terranigma is another excellent choice, and I absolutely loved Soul Blazer. The last two are Enix games, Evermore is Squaresoft but produced entirely by their American devs IIRC.

Just looking at the box art for this game has made it a definite maybe!

Persona. If you're running EPSXE they've finally translated the second part of the sequel too.

Seriously? Well I'll definately keep an eye out for it, I just hope they don't kill the story like PE2.

I don't see how the second could be any more retarded than the first. I remember playing it way back at launch and laughing my ass off at the terrible things it does to science.

Indeed, it does butcher science. The second one dismisses that whole realm and goes with the action RPG route. Aya now works for a organization hunting those beasts and for some reason, despite being the heroine and having the most experience in dispatching with those things she's nothing but a low level lackey being told what to do and where to go.

The Tales games: Tales of Destiny and Tales of Eternia (which is erroneously called Tales of Destiny 2 in the NA version, because there's a Tales of Destiny 2 for the PS2 in Japan).

Lunar (both games)

Dragon Quest VII

Xenogears?

Front Mission 3

LEGEND OF DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Seconds this, with less O's.

Chrono Cross is another with my vote. It has more replay-ability factor than a perfect pair of breasts!

Seiken Densetsu 2 AKA The Secret of Mana. One of the best RPGs on the SNES.
QFT.

Also Seiken Densetsu 3 which i feel IS the best (action) RPG for the SNES.

Also...(god i hate saying it) Legend of Dragoon...if you like pretty explosions and the like.

No Chrono Trigger?

And I second Lunar. Lunar for the PSX was one of the best RPGs in a while.
