So i see a bunch of people saying a bunch of words i dont understand, and arnt in my vast inter-videogame dictionary yet.

so heres how you snipe in any game, and win.

step 1. When you get any hint of an enemy aim in that direction

step 2. the second you see the enemy, aim at there head. this can be done ussualy by aiming the crosshair or dot thingy at the enemies head.

step 3. Fire. ussualy done by clicking the left mouse button, or right trigger on a controller.

step 4: repeat step 3 until your enemy is dead, or you are dead

Congratulations, you just did all you ever could to win, but as the equation goes (i simplified it)

Asians > everyone else.

I hate snipers

Well not really I hate 'sniper-maps' in which sniping is the only viable way...

This is because my aim sucks terrible. The only weapons I can use are machine guns, those that keep shooting while the mouse button is pressed. I can't handle any gun that requires a press with every shot >.>

So I'll take the frantic small cover-everywhere maps anytime ^^

Unfortunately, VAC is a little bit hit and miss. Every time I play CSS, which is rarely I'll admit, someone, if not everyone, will be cheating.

I think it's less "everyone hacks" and more "you just suck at CS". I can't tell you how many times I've been called a hacker by n00bs who are absolutely terrible at the game.

Personally, I think an excellent implementation of marksmanship is the crossbow in Half-Life 2.

It's very simple to snipe, but for long range, you have to account for target movement and the ballistics of the bolt because of its comparatively lower muzzle velocity. Also, the .357 Pistol does well too, as a well placed shot does excellently, rewarding those with a steady mouse, because you can't fire while zoomed.

I don't mind sniper rifles if they're done correctly, as in they are in balance with other weapons/classes. But then you get AWPs and Gauss Rifles and balance is thrown out of the window.

One-shot-one-kill weapons suck in multiplayer, period. Of course there's some exceptions, like shooting someone with a tank.

i usually don't like pointless cock measuring but give both you and me a rifle and we will soon see who is noobish.

Sure, alot of noobs like to pick up the rifle and think they are god, but the true sniper master is in a league of his own.

my question is why jesus is always protrayed as the epitomy of awesomness.

sniping take skill, bottom line. It takes skill to avoid and take out snipers. snipers aren't goot for close quarters combat.

- My advice for close range in CS1.6, is to master the quickscope/noscoping ways.

or just use a wipe-able sharpie to draw a cross hair in the center of your monitor
