It's pretty much gone over here so I'm pretty annoyed that I don't get out of school, like everyone else.
Same, it's started to clear for us and everyone else getting fucking crisis alerts and whatnot still.

I want my day off dammit!

No offense, but you Brits have no idea what snow is. You get a dusting and the whole country shuts down. Try living in New England during nor'easter season, where getting 18 inches overnight is par for the course.
Not true, we know what snow is. We're just never equipped for it because it's hardly ever more than an actual dusting over here. This is a lot of snow in comparison to what we normally get, that is why everything shuts down. Because we're not used to it.

Got a thin layer which quickly got turned into ice, which means walking is more of an extreme sport than a thing to relax.

Yeah, unfortunately, if the government dared spend money on making sure we were prepared for snow they'd be lynched for wasting millions on something that happens about 1% of the time.

However, they're still blamed for not doing anything when snow pretty much shuts down the country. Not that I defend the government often, but its one of those unwinnable situations.

Every year people bang on about the snow as if we never get it. We are in a temperate zone, meaning it will fucking snow in the winter. :O

I'm in Leeds and we had massive amounts of snow for a few days last week, but nothing since. On Tuesday evening, I was the only person in my section at work to make it in through the snow, aside from the manager. Ironically this was because there was almost zero traffic because of the snow, so the bus I was on made it through quickly, while everyone else was stuck because of the snow. Usually I'm late because of bad traffic and buses and everyone else is on time...

Anyway, it's all starting to melt now (which disappoints me, as I love the snow). Though I did do my fair share of having to help push people's cars out of the snow during last week... :p

Still plenty around my area, although it's mainly of the icy, fall on your backside/face variety.

Nearly slipped on the way to and from school four times today. >_<

I used to love snow, but now I hate it. It affects travel, meaning trains delayed/cancelled, dangerous roads, planes grounded. It's a mess, and makes it hard for me to visit my gf who lives 120miles east of me.
