Snow was not so bad.

So I am replaying FF13 for the 5th or 6th time and I just don't understand the hate for Snow. He seems kind hearted enough to me.

What do you think of Snow now after a few years?

I used to think he was cool but after XIII-2 and years that have passed... I honestly don't like him at all, to the point where I want him to die and be forgotten; or at least break up with Serra, the Farron girls just don't fit with boyfriends they're too strong and cool to be with someone that isn't equally cool

I liked it when he appeared in FF13-2, but then he buggered off again immediately without giving any explanation as to why he was suddenly
a L'Cie again.
Would have been nice to have that cleared up, and there's no way in hell I'm shelling out for that DLC. Overpriced garbage.
In the original game (IIRC) he came across as pretty thick, never thinking things through. He was a decent character though, and was on my team for the final bosses because of his good sentinel skills, soaking up all the instant death attacks.

I do think they broke the character in 13-2. He's all self loathing in that one.

I've only played the original game, not the sequel.

He was annoying at times (like every other word that came out of his mouth was 'hero' for crying out loud), but he was nowhere near as annoying as Hope or Vanille.

I don't mind Snow at all really. In fact through FF13 getting him to Serah was the one thing keeping me going. I have not played FF13-2 yet though. He seemed kind hearted, but as though he didn't really take things into consideration. But, he was a man trying to get the love of his life back. And that was great motivation enough for me!

Yeah, Hope was pretty damn annoying (just fuckin spit it out) and Vanille with her grunts.

Yeah, he's likable enough. I think the game wants you to see him as a colossal tool for the first little bit, spouting all that "I'm a hero" nonsense. I think he does learn a lesson after getting Hope's mom killed, and then falling off a building after Hope tries to stab him.
