Looks like a gritty reboot of Polar Express

Is actually based on a French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette. I seem to remember Chan Wook-Park being touted to direct a version of Transmetropolitan at one stage, must have gotten my wires crossed.

Does look like a good international cast and well known veteran of South Korean cinema Song Kang-Ho made it into a decent role.

Look interesting. Though the effects kinda look too CGI which is a deal breaker for me. Though I like the setting and concept. Wish they'd do something like this but animated and darker than polar express.

Some consternation about the Weinstein Company cutting out 20 minutes for the US and international release. It is already a big hit in South Korea.

And that immediately brings up the question of "what were those 20 minutes about and why was it cut?" If it was because of some cultural symbolism that no one outside of Korea would get (doubtful for that) then I wouldn't mind but if it's because of violence or torment, then I'm pissed

edit: nevermind, found out why and it's even worse than I suspected. They are cutting it because they believe that people are too stupid to understand the movie and are eliminating some of the character work to make it more of a traditional action movie
