I'd just have a Death Note, and the Shinigami Eyes. Fine, I'd lose half my lifespan to get the Eyes, but with the Death Note I could instantly wipe out every anime character around, including Alucard. Yet, you are only confined to having that one characters abilities, skills, knowledge and weapons, meaning you are unable to gain anything else.
So, the question is, who's abilities would you choose to have?
Personally, without a second choice, I'm going with Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate:

But hey, I heard there was a Devil May Cry anime, so Dante counts as an anime character.
So yeah, I'd take Dante's powers. Especially Royal Guard. (because, you know, no matter what ever the fuck you bring, you simply cannot damage me. Ha!)

Light Yagami from Death Note: his powers of deduction and the power of possession of a death note, sure the consequences would be severe (not going to heaven or hell, luckily I believe in neither!) but I would save the world.

me i would have to go for shikamaru off naruto, i mean he can fucking control shadows! and strangle anyone with them! pretty baddass if you ask me
Orochimaru from Naruto. He can use body (and soul) possession techniques, having a kind of immortality which is difficult to circumvent, he can raise the dead in their prime with extreme regeneration and much more.
I think my main defence would be to summon Pencil Face, and use him to erase them
