So Anime?

Until recently I had always thought that anime was for weird people, (U know who live with their mums at 30 lol) no offense. however after being a member on the escapist for a month I have noticed that a lot of people seem to like it so I started to watch some and I have enjoyed what I've seen, however I cant find any more which I might like. So any suggestions???

I have watched:
Full metal Alchemist
Bleach
Hellsing

So something like that...

If you're going to watch mainstream anime, please do so in Japanese. Most mainstream anime is horribly butchered in their English versions, and don't do justice to the original audio material. Here's an example:

Try "One Piece". It's about 400+ episodes (watch at least first 5-10). Maybe you won't like it, but if you do...

Please watch the popular anime in their original language. Japanese audio settings make a huge difference, and can sometimes have an entirely different (and better) soundtrack.

I suggest these shows: (I'll let you know which ones I recommend watching in Japanese):

Outlaw Star
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Cowboy Bebop (my fave)
Akira
Dragonball (in Japanese! Way better voice acting, and awesome sountrack)
Gundam Wing (the English acting is average)

Oh, that's nothing ^_^ The original acting/dialogue was exacly what I ment. Actually, in Russia this is the only option - japanese sound with subtitles. But JetX must die, anyway. They spoiled Naruto, twisted Shaman King, and had sex with Satan.

I recommend Wolf's Rain. It's short but very well done and the art is supurb.

I have so far only kinda liked two; Naruto and Full metal Alcumist. Full metal is about science and guns etc while Naruto is about ninjas. The only reason i read them or watch them is cos some my freinds love anime, so i need to relate.

but as for the topic.
Hellsing OVA (it follows the manga insted of the tv series)
Black Lagoon action gunfights just overall awesome
Claymore First anime i watched fully and still my fave fantasy setting swords blood good story (manga is better tho)
Full Metal Panic! also a real good one, has a second season and a spin off kinda series with it that had many lolz involved
Rosario + Vampire has to be my fave anime that is with the school life ecchi romace thingy i totaly reccomend watching it
well i could go on forever with this but hope whats there helps

I honestly don't get why people like them so much. I'm planning on going to some Anime convention with one of my mates; he knows my feelings towards anime.
Funny enough, my friend always says I'm like these anime characters, saying 'If you where in this anime you'll be like this guy'.

I once asked that same exact question with pretty much the same list of animes. The near unanimous answer I got was Black Lagoon. You should definitely check that out.
