I doubt she deserves most of the blame, but it doesn't mean she's good.

I find it hard to believe that any actress, no matter how bad, who only shows up for a few minutes can ruin an entire movie. I haven't seen it myself, but if I had to guess I'd say it's just not a very good movie, Fox or no Fox.
Granted that's pretty much every film despite the actuality that Newton's laws of motions mean that no weapon would cause that to happen without it also pushing back with that much force against the user.Broken Orange said:

Megan Fox can't act her way out of a wet paper bag. She can however flash to the public and be calls a fricken hottie. I think thats why Micheal Bay tolerated her in Transformers, including everyone else, wink wink nudge nudge give a nod to a blind bat.
I doubt she ruined the sales because the movie was garbage to begin with, but I can tell you if I was excited for a movie and I found out Megan Fox was gonna be in it... They'd lose my one little sale. I cannot tell you how much I loathe the woman.
She has gone on record for wanting to be a role model for girls. She has also gone on record for saying that women should feel proud to be sex symbols and nothing more. THAT, and she acts and dresses herself like some kind of whore, gave some dude a hand job in public, and dated a stripper... Well. Let's just say that I dislike her way more than any other air headed Hollywood starlet, and I feel like any self respecting woman who looks up to her needs to a kick to the head. But that's just my opinion.

The question isn't "did she ruin the movie" the question is "did her presence give the movie a bad rep?" The main target audience was pretty much hardcore comic fans and us. Which is a problem because a decent amount of us hate Megan Fox nowadays and though she only shows up for a few minutes she is in about 90% of the trailer.
I didn't go see it on merit of Megan Fox. I saw the trailers and assumed they just plastered her breasts all over the movie expecting it to be a winner. Even if that isn't the case, the ad campaign implied it so they must have just failed to make the movie without Megan Fox good because they were banking on her selling it with her lack of acting skills.
She just... well, she doesn't belong in THESE kinds of movies, I'll say that.
