Fully supporting it. Even though it wont exactly have the desired effect (as in the industries will point to this as more examples of how piracy is "hurting" them. And despite the unfortunate choice of terminology that coincides with a book on nazis

All the things going against it, we the people need to rally together to send the clear message that we will never accept a system of government based on Corporate state/nationalism. Even if it is only a half measure the message needs to be sent and needs to be sent repeatedly until this is eradicated, instead of fighting SOPA in the US, but not helping Ireland defeat their own incarnation.

Even if it is not completely effective in its goal, doing SOMETHING is better than continuing to do nothing.

Well, I didn't plan on doing any of those things to begin with. So...I guess, yes, I am participating but not in protest or support for anything. I'm just broke.

I pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 a while back, so I think I probably won't get anything else anyway. That count for me?

I'm getting Mass Effect 3 on the twelfth. I kind of want to play my birthday present if it's cool with you.

Apart from buying games (which are indie anyway so this doesn't really apply to SOPA/PIPA/PCIPA's backers) I do this every month out of disinterest or need.

I have already purchased Mass Effect 3 and don't have any plans to buy anything else in March from the entertainment industry so I am "De facto" participating.

However, seeing as the whole thing reeks of American self-interest (Can't say there was much of a fuss about any of the European censorship bills, like the Irish one that just passed, hanging around forums like this one) I'll probably only extend that participation to products produced by EU companies. If I remember a game coming out in March that isn't currently springing to mind and it's produced by an American company, I'll be reversing on my participation.

Uh yeah If I wanted to inflict pain on myself I would go buy a flogger. ME3's coming out and I'm not torturing myself over that.

Well it's too late for me since today I bought some preowned games in GAME for the last time. Seeing the current state they are in, I see it more as abandoned ship, grab what I get and high tail it out of there!

I've had my Mass Effect 3 collector's edition pre-ordered since last year... I'm not cancelling that pre-order, sorry. I wasn't planning on buying anything after that though, so I guess I'll be unintentionally participating after that. -shrug-

I guess...but less out of "punishing the man" and more out of "nothing's coming out that I want and even if there was the only money I have to my name right now wouldn't buy a USED game, let alone a new one".

This won't work. No if's and's or but's. People need their entertainment.

Mass Effect 3 is already paid off for me, so I'll be picking it up. But sure, I'll give it a shot anyway. Good enough reason for me to save money, at the least.

Now I can save my money FOR A CAUSE!

No thanks. I don't think anyone will be doing this. Sure they will say they will, but I doubt people will follow through. Millions of people are buying Mass Effect 3 next week.

Besides, if people could stop downloading things illegally, there wouldn't need to be any internet censorship.

EDIT: Looks at TPB.... yeah, people didn't get the Black March Memo it seems...
HEY!! some of us will be participating ... >.> though not really out of choice x.x

Cause what we really need in an economic recession is to stop buying even more stuff and put us even further in the hole. Great plan.

I refuse to participate because 1) we're in a recession and should be spending money not boycotting, 2) this is one of the poorer protests I've seen and it'll likely not work at all, and 3) you'd quite literally have to kill me where I stand to prevent me from getting Mass Effect 3 on release day.

Alright, gents, let's go down Cable Stree-

Wait, what? Oh...Protesting censorship of legitimate problems? Well, the BUF can still-

Huh? They're "protesting" by claiming to not buy things? What's the point in that? That just means other people will.
