What is your favorite example of a piece of Media that was so hilariously bad that it did a 180 and becomes good again, due to sheer stupidity?

My personal pick is the film version of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Unbelievably bad, terrible special effects, and no respect for the original comics.

But it had Sean Connery, and watching a seventy year old man kick tons of ass while being deadpan through most of the movie made it worth watching. Connery was aware of just how stupid the script was, and went along with it. Making it awesome.

The Wolfman was great for this. I can't believe it got nominated for an Academy Award. It's just make-up, but still.

Splice was absolutely hilarious, too. What a joke. I just wish I'd known that before going in, so the whole movie would've been a riot. I only realized it was a comedy in the 2nd act, so I missed a lot of the "jokes". "INSIIIIIDE YOUUUUU!" is still an inside joke between my friends and I.

Biggles: Adventures in Time. An American marketing executive from 1985 is mysteriously pulled back in time to 1917 to help a British aerial ace destroy a secret German superweapon. It's as AWESOMELY HORRENDOUS as it sounds (considering the character of 'Biggles' was taken from one Captain W. E. Johns, who wrote a series of Stiff Upper Lip Chaps books about him from the First World War well through to the late 50's that had nothing to do with time travel or Jon Anderson's singing.)

I effing love it, though. Pure 80's cheese.

I really, really want to see The Room. But none of the rental places around me have it. I'm sure I'll get around to seeing it eventually.

For me, it's probably The Spirit. I mean, I KNOW it's not that great, but Samuel Jackson is SO over the top it's amazing.

I was going to say that. I mean everything about that film was awful, it was so bad Jason Statham didn't even properly shave his head for it. But easily the worst thing about it (at least for me) was the sets. They were horrendous, my school has better sets, they just painted everything they could orange and claimed it was Mars.

I know the are just soooo crappy looking. And some of the lines in the script? Holy shit, its like a 10 year old wrote it. The funniest character tho? is the train driver, i'm certian he's the guy who plays the dad in Lizzie Miguire.
