So... Battlefront 3.

My sister is on holiday so I nabbed her PS2 from her room, dug out Battlefront 2, and had a go.I wasn't very good at first, and it feels dated, but I soon got back into it and was enjoying myself. It got me thinking, why hasn't there been a Battlefront 3 yet? Lucasarts hit it big time with BF1 and BF2, and BF3 would make a shitload of cash. I know Pandemic and Free Radical died, but some other game maker could possibly pick it up. I heard talk of Spark Unlimited doing it, but apart from that, nothing.

So are there any possibilites?

There was a news thing about lucasarts buying the rights to use the unreal3 engine so there are a fue rumors poping up now

I sure hope there's a BF3. I bought 2 on Steam a few months ago and it was so good to be playing it again because it really is a fantastic game.

There have been rumours here and there but has not been a true concrete statement saying we are releasing or making BF3 at least to my knowledge there has been no official announcement.

Anyhow both Pandemic and Free Radical aren''t truly dead, just absorbed into other companines (Free Radical became Crytek UK).

Again there's been loads of leaked concept art and the like and constant rumours abour a new one. However for the same reason Crytek won't let the old FR crew make a new TS; there won't be another SWBF (note the correct ancroynm)

Devs (maninly share holders though) think that these silly (sometimes adult) games won't sell; just like they don't think that funny games will sell.

Dammit. Thought it was news about Battlefront 3 you where posting. There once was a video, off screen, that showed footage about battlefront but that was years ago. No news as of yet.

Unless Pandemic Studios are revived we might never see a true Battlefront III...

...along with Mercenaries 3...
