Got a letter from HM Revenue & Customs yesterday. It was about last year taxes. Turns out I overpaid, £450 at that, so I should be getting them back. This is definitely a lifesaver, I was on a shoestring budget - let's put it this way, my weekly expenses were to be kept in the low double digits. For this and next month.

Well I finished university this week. Handed in my very last essay on wednesday. I am now done with education! Also I got to spend a lot more time with my boyfriend. I am now free of stress and worry and I can be me again. I feel absolutely fantastic!

I ordered a 16 gig micro SD card last week, and it came yesterday, several days early. What's even better, I thought I was getting a class 2 card, but the one i actually got was a class 4, so score on that. The seller on Amazon seems to just get a bunch of cards in bulk lots and not actually know or provide information on what speed they are. I lucked out and got a fast one, despite the complaints in the comments about people getting class 2 cards. And it was $10.25 including shipping. I love the internet.

Oh, I also found a DS copy of Civ Rev on clearance at K-mart. It was marked $10, I thought I paid $10, then I realized after I got home that I only paid $4 because it had been marked down again since the last time anyone applied a sticker to it. This has been a pretty good week, come to think of it.

I got accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Didn't see that coming at all, oh well... go Blazers!

Well on Monday Aston Villa sacked Alex McLeish as their manager after a season of truely pathetic defensive football (soccer if you are American and wrong) in which we just about did enough to avoid relegation. That put me in a good mood for a couple of days and then my ticket for Download Festival arrived yesterday which put me in a good mood again.

Pretty much a good week for me.

Meanwhile, my mood significantly increased when Liverpool FC sacked Kenny. Hurrhurrhurr!! (My boss is a Liverpool fan.)

OT: One - may I also express my surprise at seeing [user]Skeleon[/user] so far from... there... and welcome, hope you don't catch the temporary dumb... -_-

Ehm... it was an OK week, I guess... still haven't submitted that damned application to UWarwick, but I'll get to that this weekend (i.e. Sunday... ¬_¬ ), when I haven't got a buttload of crap to do at work.

However, thinking of work, temporarily changed departments, and the idiots from the other section still won't stop hassling me with dumb questions and questions that they should bloody well know I can't answer... eejits.

So! Little update for this week, I suppose.
I got my last, this time oral exam done now as well. Very happy with the result overall, pretty much as good as I could expect.
I had planned to get stupidly drunk afterwards, but after such a damn marathon of learning, reading, exams, stress, insomnia etc., I was just too fucking tired.
It still hasn't quite sunk in yet that I'm, well, done. I have a job offer down the line which I'm going to take, I have a doctoral thesis I gotta finish, but with the groundwork I'm done and over with.

Can anybody else join in on the happy train this week around as well? Just curious.

Passed my Server MTA this week. So i'm one step closer to becoming that guy in IT/that badass guy who repairs your laptop you dropped your breakfast over.

I feel like I should be gaming on the PC and be bragging about how much better my video card and hard drive space is compared to yours. Also should install some Fibre Optic cables and make several Virtual PCs on my laptop for no good reason.

Also found an AD Carry I can play well in League of Legends! Finally! After failing hard with Master Yi, Ashe, Caitlyn and Miss Fortune I finally found the badassery that is Vayne.

Oh and how are the R&P forums over here? I have never touched the stuff with a 10 foot barge pole since well, 1. I don't give a fuck and 2. having an argument with a religious person as an agnostic person is just not going to end well.

Hey there. Usually, I remain in the fiery den that is the Religion & Politics subforum, but today something went really well for me and I just felt like going to a different, less fiery but a lot weirder den instead.

Lol, true. Well, half term's this week so I am doing tons of homework set by my teachers because they are sadistic monsters just relaxing. Nothing but Welsh Baccalaureate lessons after than but that's both a blessing and a curse. Not too taxing on the brain and tons of paperworks, and the chavs in my class, oh God (>.<). Think I did enough to pass my AS exams though so on the whole it's been so far.

I'm having a kind of boring week. So far, all of my clients cancelled or didn't show up for our meeting. The Kings are on their way of a sweep, though. As a Canucks fan, I should be jeering them, but if the Kings win the Cup, it will make it the third year in a row that the Canucks lost to the Stanley Cup champs. Always look on the bright side.

Well, i seem to have lost most of my depression sickness the last week, everything seems much quieter and nicer

Other than that, all i have been doing is leveling my wow goblin mage in order to do the wailing caverns instance thing solo, which is taking wayyyy longer than i thought, damn clothies
I gotta leave the shitty afk lvl 1 guild i got into a year ago, and actually get some M into my MMORFG

Yup, ended up working only today, because the school I work in was closed yesterday and no-one was there with the keys to open it up and force me to come in and work anyway. That's always nice.

It was a pretty average week until I managed to get in two hours of soccer this afternoon with the local league. It felt great playing again, it's been too long. However, now I'm sun baked, sore and pretty damn tired. Was it worth it though? Yup.

Observed my 7-year-old son - who didn't speak til he was 3 and is still catching up verbally and socially - completely and utterly verbally stand up for himself vs. a little prick in the playground (who was a good foot taller than him) who pushed in front of my son in the queue for the zip line.
