So, do you like to feel pretty?

Today, I randomly felt like going the mile with makeup, hair, etc.
Sometimes, it just feels so nice to dazzle, especially when there are strangers to dazzle at.

So, my fellow Escapists, do you like to look nice for the sake of your own ego on occasion? I don't mean doing something because you're self-concious, but something more like the fancy dress running gag [http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1480] from QC.

Physical appearance doesn't matter that much.

Around here, everything is about physical appearance. And my physical appearance keeps people from talking to me so they don't have time for the attitude.

Oh, I love to look pretty. I've started wearing perfume pretty much all the time (even when going to the gym!), taking my time with my hair, and I even bought an electric shaver to keep my beard looking well.

I have the feeling that if I were a woman I'd spend all my time in front of the mirror.

If I found a bar that rented Victorian outfits, I would be in love.
I know it's based off a real bar, but I somehow doubt that part is reality.

I'm afraid that if such a place existed, I'd simply move there and spend my life in it.

Sometimes, but I usually never end up feeling pretty on those specific occasions (or maybe I just feel self-conscious).
I generally feel my best when I look normal.

Haha, It's never to look fancy. I own 3 leather jackets and 2 pairs of torn up jeans. Why? Because when I leave the house I want to look like as much of a douche as possible. Well sure I don't mind looking spiffy every now and then but it's really too much of a bother because I don't really need to impress anyone. When I go outside I'm always running so there's not much time for people to "take it in" anyway. And I'm not sure why, I guess I just like to blend in with the background, when I do parkour I always get people turning their heads and it's somewhat annoying.

Physical appearance/physique matters more though, by far. If you are an emo kid wearing eye shadow, on a 150 pound frame trying to stare down a square jawed mammoth, well it just looks ridiculous.

Just like only good looking guys can get away with a cocky attitude and still get girls, only reasonably intimidating people or atleast averagely built people can come across as intimidating.

I actually flat out laughed at some small, skinny guy when he punched me in the face. It didn't hurt, he hit my forhead and hurt his wrist, but his build up was an attempt at intimidation and pretending he was a psycho. It just doesn't work if you aren't cut out to fill that role.

OT: As for me, yeah I like to look good but I won't spend hours in front of the mirror perfecting my hair - it looks best when I first wake up, so I wash it at night and not in the morning and get amazing bed hair.
