So ENN is dead, right?

I noticed a few days ago that there hasn't been a new episode of ENN for about a month, grossly misrepresenting the term "bi-weekly". In fact is seems that whenever a series on the escapist goes bi weekly that just means they're going to stop producing the show. Which is a shame because of all the stuff those folks did I laughed most at the fake news.

Did anyone else notice that?

Yeah, there was a thread about it a couple days ago, apparently they've stopped making ENN so that they will have the time to make a different show which, hopefully, will debut in the not too distant future.

They really should put up a notice or something. ENN is over. Finished. Finito. Has been for quite a while now.

That's not quite true.

ENN is dead.

Also, we are looking at maybe introducing a new show in the not too distant future to take it's place.

But ENN is not dead so that we could work on a new show.

We are working on a new show because ENN is dead, not the other way around.

In fact, the bi-weekly new episode now means that the show is dead, but there's possibly a new show to be made and take it's place in the not too distant future.

How don't people get this? Bleh. Focus!

I just... want you guys to know, that on Wednesday?

I watched ENN before ZP. (sobs).

Was it just too expensive to make or something? I'm sure you can pump out daily drops 7 at a time, but ENN's require more... thought.

Can't really talk about the why's. Glad you liked it though.

It's a shame I really liked ENN. Although I kinda saw it coming when they unveiled their "new format" that looked to like it was just a drop in production values.

To be fair, it was intended as an experiment, not a "new format", really. The series just eneded before another standard style episode got made.

I know that you're under contract w/ The Escapist, but honestly, I think that the Escapist should explain why to us. I would have to see the hard internet traffic numbers to see how The Big Picture or Anthony Saves the World or Creature Caster Masters do any better. (NOTE: No offense to the producers of these shows, they aren't bad per se, but ENN seems to have a more general appeal)

I'll hold off on the Firefly-esqu email campaign until I see what ya'll come up with..and if the Escapist picks it up... I know it will be gold.

1st one has MovieBob.
2nd one has the two guys running it and their links with Borderlands and stuff, plus it had a pre-existing fanbase even before it came to the Escapist.
3rd one features ShadyVox doing one of the voices. On a side note, am I really the only person that likes it?

I could never really get into ENN. What I would like to know are the traffic figures for Daily Drop.

You kinda left out my Note that I didn't think any of those series were BAD per se!

Also
1. So? He's overexposed. He has as many projects on the Escapist as LRR. Anyway, The Escapist probably offered him that show b/c Yahtzee didn't want it.
2. Never heard if it before... And just b/c they make kick-ass video games shouldn't give them a show.
3. ShadyWho? Plus I really really had hope for this series... Parody of Pokemon and Yugioh? GOLD! But it just fell flat on its jokes so many times for me. Maybe it will get better as time goes on, and I'll give it another shot.

Never said anything about quality. I was merely thinking about their fanbases.

And if you haven't heard of ShadyVox, he does a LOT of internet voice acting now, most notably as Jaden in Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged.

I was wondering what happened to ENN. It seems like I should've noticed by now it was dead.

Really? Cool. I watch Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged (or Cancelled) Series and DBZ Abridged, but never new the Voice Actor for Jaden.

Too bad The Escapist can't get TeamFourStar or Little Kiriboh to bring their series here...guess to many legal headaches

If they could get Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged to run on here with regular updates and everything...
I guess we can only dream.

...Thread derailed yet?

to be honest I think the bi-weekly episodes are funnier by a hell of a lot 'doggie dodo dance' took about 2 minuets to recover from the laughter.
