Right so part of me is kicking myself for actually making this thread but I need to ask this to set my own mind at rest:
In 2007 I got an xbox 360. It was a core system and was pretty basic. I didn't have any trouble with it until 2009, when it red ringed and died. From what I was told by the repair man, the inside was pretty much ruined. Some research told me that it was a design fault, something to do with EU laws preventing lead being used to build the inner framework, and a weaker metal being used instead. Apparently when the console overheated, that metal started to melt, which caused my system to die.
Anyway now its 2011 and I have an elite. When my old console died, I was playing "N3: Ninty nine nights". I was having fun with it too, but ever since my old system died I haven't played it. I'm certain that my old console died because of the design fault but, part of me keeps thinking that it might have been brought on by N3.
Could that game have contributed towards my old console's destruction or was it just a design fault? I don't think it could have but I thought I'd ask before I tried playing it. The last thing I want to do is break another xbox.
