So, funny story...

Last Saturday, my little sister went to the DMV to take the test for her learner's permit. She was denied. Not because she failed the test, but because the US government thinks she may be an illegal alien and/or terrorist. You see, no one up to this point noticed that her birth certificate lists her as "male." One simple mistake that no one caught and is now going to be a royal pain in the butt to fix.

These kinda things happen. They screwed up my name on my voter's registration card, so I couldn't vote when I turned 18. I also got a speeding ticket for going 110+ in a 70mph zone. They wrote the wrong name on the ticket, so the case was thrown out by the judge. No fine for me! XP

We didn't spot it because we had every reason to believe that the hospital got it right. The DMV only spotted it because it's their job to look for inconsistencies like that.
