So, gamefly has VtM: Bloodlines on sale - why haven't you played it yet?

I already have it on steam, and its probably one of my favourite games, but I haven't actually finished it. I have like 12 unfinished playthroughs, well its down to about 5 now since I deleted most of the others.
Installed the Clan Quest Mod the now, and once I complete the game I might have a go at The Final Nights mod.
The only problem I have is the Warrens, stupid warrens.

The Warrens do kind of suck. I'm also not a fan of the Ocean House Hotel. Creepy the first time through, tedious every subsequent time.aether-x3 said:

The Ocean House still makes me uneasy but usually I play music over it but yeah, it does turn into a chore the more you do it which is why I leave the Voerman sisters quest line til last.
I did play it. I tried twice, but I never finished it. The first time I accidentaly deleted my own save during the mission to find that Malkavian guy. Then the second time there was some error thingy and poof, save doesn't load at all. I might try it a third time some day...

I've still got a physical copy of bloodlines on my shelf, it was pretty fuckawesome but activision shoved it out the door way too soon and they were still using a beta version of source when they made it.

Well, since White Wolf ended Masquerade, I doubt they'll let it be remade. Even if for some reason Activision expressed interest in that. There is still hope, though, however, I think Activision is the biggest obstacle to this, WW seem like a more reasonable bunch.Xixikal said:

I LOVED this game when it came out. insanely ambiance and atmosphere. Soundtrack was fantastic with the music played in Hollywood as a standout classic imo.
Kinda sad that it got rushed and then delayed and then rushed again. Sometimes its obvious where content got cut wish still saddens me greatly.
The abandoned seafront manor/hotel part still makes me wee myself.

If anyone knows where complete credits for all the music in the game can be found I would love to know who made the tracks "Hollywood Theme" and "Vesuvius". They are both awesome guitar tracks

Just about the only segment I like in the entire thing is near the very end, when you see a Nossie using Celerity to rush right past you, and notice that he's managed to one-shot one of the Tzimisce thralls (I forgot what they're called).
Then, of course, you get your ear chewed off by Imalia, Mitnick and Gary, pretty much to the tune of "Oh, this stupid Tzimisce fuck thought he had us boxed in, but we didn't give a shit. Thanks, hero, but no thanks."
I remember that made me somewhat irate, the first time around. You slog through this mess without noclipping for the first time, you make it to the Warrens with about a sliver or health or blood left, and they brush you off.
Vampire society. Such a wonderful bunch of considerate folks.
Steam had it 75% off a while ago, so I bought it on a whim, and discovered what a fantastic game it is. Sure, it's old and was incredibly clunky when it came out, but it's still one of the best games I've played in my short life.
Dammit, now I'm going to spend the next few days being excited about the WoD MMO again, and it's not even out of pre-production yet (that I'm aware). I'm going to hunt around, see the same concept art, see the same vague information regarding its mechanics, get disappointed that I can't know more, and resign myself to just having to wait for CCP to finish Dust 514, a game that my lack of a Playstation 3 will prevent me from playing. I did play it. I sweated blood and tears. I enjoyed it. Loved it even.
I got all the way to the final fight, laughing along with my Malkavian.
And then I had to move out.
And it was installed on the other PC.
And I just can't face killing my save game by reinstalling with the True Patch.
