Well, the game in question is £5 on steam, with no subscription fees (anymore)

So my question this fine evening is...

Do any escapists play this game?
Is it any good?

I play it from time to time, problem is it's dying. You are better off sticking with team fortress; the main fun point about the game is AvA and even that can get old.

Considering the price, do you think it would be fun for a few hours?

I'd say get it. The community is fairly strong, and all the modes seem pretty fun.
However, you only get skill points every 2 levels, which kind of sucks. And by kind of I mean it does suck. Thoroughly.

Bought it. Played it. Left it when APB came out.

Its a bad game when even APB players were saying, in game, "Global Agenda? what a shit game."

For a fiver? sure. But personally, id rather be having sex.

I bought it for $7 when it was on D2D, it was ok but quests are really spread out and it gets to be such a huge pain in the ass to travel. I don't know how they messed it up, the whole into to your character felt really cool and then they drop you in the world and it is basically like any other MMO of quest, quest, quest. Didn't seem to take that long to level. I think I got to level 20 out of 50(?) in 1 session. But there really wasn't much to keep my hooked and I got semi annoyed because there really didn't seem to be that much of a variety of gameplay besides shoot, cloak, run, regen, repeat.

I played the demo (the full game up to level 12). Flying around with a jetpack and shooting things was really fun and smooth, but then I got to the first quest area and spent the next two hours doing your typical, mundane MMO "kill these" and "fetch those" quests. I tried a couple of the PvP games, and those we're kinda fun, but it was anything spectacular. It was basically Team Fortress 2 with jetpacks and lasers, which sadly isn't nearly as fun as it sounds. It might be worth it for only $5, but there are better games and MMOs to spend your time on.

Side note: This game only strengthened my belief that every game would be/is better with jetpacks.

I really enjoyed Global Agenda. Definitely a fun game and worth the full price when it came out even :D
