I guess I sort of inadvertently celebrated.
I'm normally immune against hangovers, but at the moment I feel like shit.
Alcohol is a crappy drug.
Hangovers can be awesome if you do it properly. Lots of greasy food and terrible tv can make for the best lazy day and you don't even have to feel guilty about it.

Went out with a group of 12 people. Drank insane amounts of alcohol. Waited in a giant line trying to get into a really awesome pub. Then said fuck it and we and walked till we found a short line to this pretty awesome club. Being my birthday today I was forced into many birthday shots at midnight until the bartender cut me off. Danced with some strange girls and left with one outside went to her car and did The Deed. then we all left the club and got stopped by cops because its illegal to walk through a park past 11:00. Basically it was the best St patrick's Day in a long time.

Went out with a couple of my friends.Got to the pub about 8:30.90% of the people there were already pissed drunk having been out all day.Got a pint spilled over me by one inebriated girl.Another girl fell off her stool and knocked over our table spilling our drinks and there was about half a dozen fights.Last night reminded me why I normally don't bother going out on Patrick's day.Stupid fucking holiday. Will be staying at home next year

So he cleared Ireland of snakes. It's a fucking island. I can't imagine a snake dumb enough to swim across the British channel from France to England, let alone a snake dumb enough to slither it's way across England, jump in the ocean again and swim to Ireland.
You know the snakes thing is just a metaphor. He introduced Christianity which supplanted the native religion and thus "the snakes" i.e the druids(the priests of the old religion)were driven out

I played D&D for about 8 hours with my mates, then I got all suited up and went to a ball. The day had nothing to do with St. Patrick's really, but I enjoyed it.

I spent 12 hours at a mall I got lost half the time. It was fun though since I saw "21 Jump Street." I was really surprised by it and it really is one of the best movies I have seen in a while.

I did some food shopping, worked out, wrote, and showered, in no particular order. Also I ate a bunch of food. It's just another day.

I'm from Ireland, we're not that bothered about it here.

Also Its "Was it good craic?" not "Was it a good craic?", Just sayin'.

That's what my weekends are like regardless of whether I feel like shit or not.
Understandably, then, I prefer not feeling like shit.

Thats the only thing that stood out to me in the OP as well =P A good craic just sounds weird and wrong.

I went to my sister's and had dinner and then watched some Doctor Who and Buffy. I WAS going to my brother's since it was his birthday the 17th - guess what his name is, go on! - but he cancelled it for some reason.

I had also half-heartedly considered going to the Irish pub downtown - authentically owned by an Irishman! (and staffed by Australians) - to listen to some live music but I don't drink, had no one to go with, and I hadn't seen my sister in a long while so... I know, I'm a dreadful (half-)Irishwoman.

It's not a huge holiday in Sweden anyway, excuse to drink yourself sick though it is.

I live in Ireland, and two towns close to me did world record attempts this paddys day. The first attempted the most leprechauns in a parade and the other did the most St Patricks in any one place. Well I thought it was more fun than getting hammered

Personally I don't drink, so I mostly stayed home and played Final Fantasy IX, but then tonight from 10 I was playing at a bar on Donegall Street (I'm living in Belfast) and it was a great night. Good crowd, all drunk in a very friendly way, and I got to play a lot of songs I haven't played in a while, like Thin Lizzy and U2, because everyone wanted the Irish songs, even from an Englishman.

So how about you? Do you celebrate it. Did you? Even just drinking a lot?
What bar?

Had a terrible St Paddys myself. The holy lands were quiet. Only half of my mates got into the night club we were heading to because the bouncers helpfully informed the other half that they should "try some other night". Went to some terrible bar called the appartment were they played terrible music and it was minus craic. Tried to get into mccrackens but they demanded £10 in with less than 40 minutes to closing.
Possible the worst ever.

Also, screw Belfast bouncers. Literally the worst bouncers I've ever come across in general.

Had no idea what Craic was until I got in here. Irish knowledge gained.

I spent the day doing my regular stuff, with more potato jokes and talking about going out to get a shamrock shake, but in the end not doing it.

Yup, did the necessary pre-drinking and went downtown. Can't say I was 100% thrilled about it though. My buddies and I waited too long so by the time we got to the bars, they were packed... and I absolutely HATE crowds. But hey, we made the best of it and a good time was had by all.
