This is an irrefutable fact.
Funny how I'm watching episode 3 right now lol.

Gundam X is still my favorite Gundam show. The design of the GX is one of my favorites and the kinda post-apolyptic setting is pretty cool.

Space Runaway Ideon,I haven't watched it myself but my friend really liked it. A very creepy/dark show.

Oddly enough Magic Knights Ray earth has the dragons manifest as Mechs.Though they really don't use them till the latter half of the first season. THe second season has them featured more often.

Also Slayers Great(anime movie) has giant fighting golems, which are like mechs. This being in the Slayers universe means the golems are hilarious.

Sorry I can't be of much help you've basically seen every mecha show I've seen(all 4 of them)

I'm a bit out of touch with my knowledge of Gundam, but is 8th MS Team included in the ones you've seen? Because I remember it being really good.

Also, not quite GIANT robots, but what I saw of Blue Gender was pretty cool (people fighting Giant bugs in Large Mechs)

The only one I can think of is the Super Robot Wars Series (check out the Devine Wars and then The Inspector).
That series is like Gundam but less focus on war related woe (like how war is bad and seeing civilian getting killed) and more one raw manily and a hint of fan service!

Ah, Megas XLR. Basically everything that everyone loves about Giant Robots, fined down into almost the purest expression of Mecha:

Smashing shit.

And badass fights.

I'm sorry, but you don't get much better than Megas. It is the quintessential Giant Robot show.

It's very rare that I will make a decision to watch a show based on a short clip. However, this intro has forced me to come to the decision that YOU MUST INFORM ME OF THE WHEREABOUTS OF ALL OF THE EPISODES. WHERE HAS THIS SHOW BEEN ALL MY LIFE?
When i decided i wanted to watch them on my terms i eventyually found them on Anime44.

http://www.anime44.com/megas-xlr-episode-1

I also deliver a severe reccomendation for Code Geass. It has mecha combat up the grill and if you have an appreciation for military tactics then it becomes something equivalent to pornography. And then theres the fanservice.

Howdy All,

Been on a serious Giant Robot Anime Kicker lately and I'm looking for something new to watch and because this is off-topic I'm sure there are a million suggestions just waiting to be found.

What I've already seen and liked:
- Everything Macross (Frontier, Zero, Plus, 7, Original, Robotech)
- All UC Gundam (0079, 8th MS Team, Stardust Memory, Victory, Zeta... you get the idea)
- Armored Trooper VOTOMS
- The Big O
- Eureka 7
- Martian Successor Nadesico
- Vandread
- Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Rahxephon
- Gurren Lagann
- Gunbuster
- Patlabor
- Escaflowne

What I've already seen and didn't like:
- Gundam 00
- Gundam Wing
- Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny

So... what you guys got for me?
no Megas XLR?

list invalidated, please remedy this, like, yesterday

Did you like Death Note? Watch Code Geass. It's kind of like that but with robots and a more sympathetic version of Light and a less socially awkward L. And way more characters in general.

I've seen both the movies, Space Runaway Ideon is the most amazing and depressing thing ever, it's like a Germanic Opera with all the dark tragedy and hubris and stuff... also the main character has a giant orange afro...

Try Shin Getter Robo Armageddon. It's got the same uber manly vibe that Gurren Lagann has and it's just as action packed. It's from the 90's, but the animation is excellent even by today's standards due to it being an OVA. I tend to dislike animes made before the 00's, but I loved Shin Getter.

Just don't expect anything from the story. As far as I know, they just started the series in the middle of the managa and assumed you already were familiar with the story. As a result, the story is mostly nonsense, but the sheer manliness and jaw-dropping action sequences make up for it.

Anyways after that G-Gundam thread I really need to watch it :D

The English one wears a bearskin hat!

The Mexican one is probably the most blatantly racist thing that I've ever seen... I mean just look at it...<.<

and it's called Tequila Gundam... that's hilarious... xD

Full metal panic's 1st and 3rd seasons were good (less robots in the second, seeing as that seemed to be an entirely different genre of anime)

Everything I came here to add has already been suggested. The only other thing I can think of is Super Sentai, but it's not an anime. It does sometimes have some great giant robot fights though.

If you're interested in some shows with a combining mech, try Aquarion, Aquarion EVOL, and GaoGaiGar. Also Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspectors is pretty cool.

Not anime but I'm surprised noone mentioned "The Big Guy and Rusty" yet. Give that a go. And if you liked Eureka 7, they're making a new series (Eureka 7 AO) it's at its 19-20 episode or so.
