So how do you cope?

Games, technology, and surrounding myself with interesting people.

If I'm sad it's usually for no apparent reason or something that's out of my hands anyway, so I just need a good distraction and I'm usually set.

I think about death and the nature of existence every other day or so until I fall asleep and wake up the next morning too drowsy to really focus on anything. It works!

Everyone gets depressed at some point or another. It can be small, it can be large. How do you cope with it?

Mine is music, friends, games, the normal stuff. But that's starting to fall through.
due to relationship problems i became really depressed..i couldn't cope with anything at all.
and also meant i couldn't enjoy food,music..or try to lose myself into a game =[.its been really differcult i was some times ok but then i just got so upset however i just kept myself busy...i don't think any advice can help because you just have to deal with it your own way because everyone feels different.

Strange, I just made another thread along these lines. That makes me feel bad.
I try to cope, but nothing works. I even feel like my friends are falling out with me. Im worried that if I go out, I will be beaten up, because someone hates me for mishearing what I said to him once.

Music and violent games... nothing better in my world to relax to some death metal and some Gears of War/GTA IV/Zombie game :)

once just flew around in Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat mod listening to heavy metal and killing... got over 1000 kills ... xD

I haven't been depressed in years but when i was i would play games and insult others or read the paper hoping to find a story about someone dying.

I practice my finest b-boy moves in front of a mirror, to remind myself that I am still a superstar.

Then I head down to the subway to spin on my head. The temporary approval of people waiting for their train boosts my spirits.

Find a way to vent out some anger. I believe a long run would cure the obsessive compulsion to kill anything/everything, and while running I'd only listen to angry music (Slayer, early Metallica etc).

Working out is a good way to blow out some steam. It's healthy as well :)

A good song usually does the trick. I don't get depressed very often anyway.

Don't have a coping method as such I just live with the depression and it eventually drifts to the back of my mind untill something else depresses me then all previous causes come back in force.
