I live in the wonderful, murder filled island of Puerto Rico. Here we have pretty much everything the states have, except more expensive, and in some cases, of lower quality. This brings me to internet connections. I have cable internet, I pay 30 bucks a month for 6mb. As a gamer, this puts me at a disadvantage in alot of cases. My question for you guys is, how fast is your connection, and how much does it cost you monthly?

200-300 kb/s download speed. It's terrible.
This. The UKs internet service is utterly appalling for a supposed first world country.

Lithuania, 6-7mb/s, 12US dollars per month. When i ordered it many years ago it was around 256kb/s and max 20gb for downloads, now its unlimited and i can`t complain about speeds.

Ha, my dad is always trying to get me to visit family there. Now I'm on to his motives!

I have Verizon FiOS. I'm not sure how fast that is, but I never have problems playing games, so probably a bit faster than yours. That said, my TV, phone, and internet package is like 150ish dollars a month... I think.

Just ran a speed test, 8.53Mbs. Seeing as we're paying £20 a month for 10Mbs, in the UK atleast that's not TOO bad!

I have no idea and no bother to check. It is a locally-owned DSL line with reasonable service.

I think it is around 54 mbs or so. Honestly, I do not know for sure, so I am just basing this one what my netbook says when I connect it to the internet and hover the mouse over the wireless internet icon.

I live in the Scottish Borders.

If anyone's looking to find out their connection speed, then you can use www.speedtest.net to run a speedtest for you. Remember though that your speed is in megabits per second and not megabytes per second.
