I would tell you, but then I would have to kill you... Anyway, I am planning on piggybacking on one of my friends plans. I will be the leader of his enforcers. I guess technically I won't be the one ruling, but close enough. Failing that, I guess causing the zombie apocalypse and fortifying the local McDonalds, its actually quite the fortress already. Then, since I already have co-leaders set up for ruling our area, as well as truck drivers for transportation. The world would fall before us. I'd start by supporting one of the leaders of a revolution, working my way to the inside group while they take most of the hardship, giving them advise while I analyze the situations from a more flexible angle. After they become the leader, slowly work at setting up plans to have them die of a seemingly natural illness and have them elect a successor who I will have more experience than to manipulate to direct the military. After the initial phase is past, we will have peace conferences with the surrounding areas to slowly merge with them, inserting our pawns within their systems for election to control them though the masses will still see two distinct forces. We will continue this process untill all nations become interwoven in a net of our directions, being an unseen hand over the affairs of the world while our pawns be replaced again and again as their terms come up to keep the people from falling into a sense of monotony. The best part is, no one would really know who the real leader is due to the constant paranoia of each part of the operation looking at the others, trying to avoid their own corruption from being made public.
