Did you ever play on the hardest difficulty? The AI get much more challenging, very quickly. Gameplay wise, it all depends on what kind of character you chose, by the sound of it, you chose soldier.tehroc said:I didnt like either Mass Effects, the AI was too poor to be a challenge or of any help. Gameplay wise I thought it was a poor Gears of War clone. Both games had excellent lore to them though.
Also, I've heard many people have complaints about the first game, and the second, but I haven't met anyone who LIKES rpgs that didn't like Mass Effect. The quest was obnoxious, and btw;
:::SPOILER ALERT:::
That quest is actually a trap, you get trapped in a cave with a live nuke. The whole monkey thing is kinda BS.
:::END ALERT:::
I recommend giving the game another shot. Ignore the side quests if they annoy you, none of them are really necessary, however the game may be a little short without them. A game should not be judged solely on the quality of its side-quests, if this was the case, every single new game out there would be in the crapper.
