So, uh, yeah. I totally have a rabbit now. It was ridiculously spontaneous and I haven't really a clue on what I'm supposed to do, so any advice on how to care for and live with a pet rabbit would be greatly appreciated. So far I have a hutch and a box of food, but that's about it. So, yeah, help me out here ya'll.

I've grown up with a mother raising rabbits for fur and meat. At most she had about a 150.
My sister have also started to raise rabbits, though for sale or renting out.

Is it an indoor pet only, or do you have a green space to put her out when its warm?
What kind of rabbit is it? big or small?
Do you have something to trim its claws with?

Something all rabbits need are of course constant access to water and hay.
I'm no expert, so don't be afraid to verify my advice elsewhere.

Oh, and congratulations!

I've raised several rabbits, they're great pets.

Things to note:
1) Rabbits are incredibly social creatures. You need to give it hours of play out of its cage a day.

2) They are susceptible to heat and cold. Don't keep them in an outdoor hutch in environments that have lots of predators, bugs, or extreme temperatures. About the only places outdoor hutches are really standard is in the UK with minimal predators and fair weather.

3) Hay is largely preferable to pellets. Some pellets are okay, but hay and freshwater should be their main diet.

4) Spaying or neutering your rabbit, when of age, will really help reduce destructive/aggressive behavior.

I suggest checking out this guide!

if they are on ground level check the cage regularly for escape holes.
